Electric Vehicle Charging Station

"Free charger through a non profit. There is a QR code to help by giving a donation though. I haven’t had an issue grabbing this spot, but I usually only go on weekdays at camp at Big Meadows. I’ll park it here and go hiking for a few hours. I wouldn’t rely solely on this charger though because if it’s occupied you could be waiting a while. Recommend you juice up before coming onto Skyline Drive if you’ve got range anxiety."

"As others have mentioned, it's nice that it's there and is free, but there is only the one J1772 charger and it's pretty slow for a level 2."

"I have used it a number of times when hiking in the Big Meadows area. I have a limited range Leaf and because of the charger I am able to drive it to the Park. Unfortunately it was not working two weeks ago!"

"Wish they install more than just one charger. Could not get my car charged even after waiting and checking over 3 hrs as another car was connected. Nice if they can install a tesla level 2 charger as well like Skyland restaurant and resort have done a few miles up north."

"Fantastic that they have this! It's definitely intended for emergency usage, not for regular trip usage - only has one port and we were getting 14mph. If it's not the wintery/off-season, you can grab a bite at the nearby restaurant. There are bathrooms nearby and a small (all-season) ranger station that has a gift shop & coffee"
