"I enjoy coming to this Food Lion, everyone is so nice!"

"Bought an cosmetic product about $25- out of my usual price range, but I wanted to splurge and look good for myself. This particular product came in their plastic thief proof, so of course when I got home, the expiration date had been printed where they had it blocked but that anti-theft. This was early September 2022. The expiration date was in April 2022. So if course we went to return it. Each week we were able to make it up there to return it- NOBODY WAS IN THE CUSTOMER SERVICE- SIGNS LETTING YOU KNOW TOUGH LUCK. Well, it was past the 30 days to get it return by that time, no thanks to them. It was their fault for selling me MONTHS EXPIRED product that I had no way of seeing that darn expiration date- girl at register just opened, scanned and in the bag- had never had a reason not trust that type if purchase or any problems before with other stores. Icing on the cake was them refusing my refund or even giving me an offer to replace for a non expired one. They were the whole dang reason this was all bad and I paid for it. The manager said no when the girl ask about me trying to return. And yes, I did bust out crying right then and there- they did wrong. I hardly do anything for myself anymore because it always ends badly. God bless you kind manager and I hope you receive many riches of all forms for your character."

"I experienced the worst service I have ever experienced in this food lion today. I am a regular customer who is here everyday if not everyday every other day. I always go between 7am and 8am to dodge the crowd and to get in and out. Usually around this time only self check out is open but there is always an associate there that will open up a line and check me out which I appreciate due to my back condition I have. This morning another customer and I were discussing how there wasn’t a line open and I explained to her that it’s usually like this in the morning but if you ask, someone will come check you out and she did just that and she was assisted. I needed to grab two more items but my husband and myself managed to get in line behind her while she was still being assisted only to be told by the associate that the line wasn’t open and that I needed to go to self service. I asked her how come you would assist one customer and not another she proceeded to state she was doing something special for that customer which was not true because I was the one who advised her to ask to have a line opened up which I informed the associate. I myself needed special service as well so once I finished in self service I needed assistance in customer service not only did she not assist with checking me out she also refused to call anyone to the front to assist me with customer service. After standing in the customer service line for a few minutes she proceeds to tell me that customer service was down then offered to help with what I needed assistance with but wouldn’t check my groceries out. She only refused to get someone to customer service because it would be the manager who would have to come help me and she knew I would make a complaint. I have never been to a food lion and not received great customer service and as a loyal customer I am so displeased. I did call and speak with a manager but who’s to say that this will even be addressed so I decided to do a google review. I shouldn’t have to say I have any sort of condition to be serviced asking for assistance should be enough."

"It's Food Lion. So it's what to be expected of your normal grocery store. The staff is a lot friendlier than they used to be a few years ago the customer service has gotten a lot better I can say their produce selection is not the best selection and they run out of things pretty quickly"
