"Went to the store and the manager was very disrespectful to and her employee. She acted very ghetto. How can Family dollar have someone lead the store whose mental capacity is the size of a nut. She told her employee who had to take care of a personal matter not to come back and that's not how you run a business. I was appalled because of the way she was screaming and talking about other employees is a hot mess."
"When I went to this store on Broad Rock Blvd in Richmond VA to buy the coke products that were on sale, I found that every single (Coke) item on the shelves had already passed the expiration date. (I was specifically looking for Diet Coke, and the diet sodas get very bitter when they pass the expiration date - - and sometimes when they're getting close to the date, so past the date is certainly no good.) Everything above was written 8 months ago. I just went back to this store the week of Dec 9 and couldn't believe how trashy the store was (photos posted.) there were so many more (bad) photos I could have taken, but I didn't want to be too obvious. Don't go to this store."
"Every time I have had to go to this store, it has been a total mess. Boxes piled up everywhere, parking lot covered in trash, dumpster overflowing. It is a shame because I have been to other Family Dollar locations, which have been well managed and neater."
"Saw the store manager and needed help getting a battery out of the case. Ask the store manager for some help and was told that they were busy and that someone else would help me if I waited in a line of nine people with only one cashier already overwhelmed with customers. As a retail manager I know the main purpose of being there is to help customers spend money. He was hanging stock up and I guess that was more important then helping a person who actually wanted to spend money. That was my last visit to that location and I will tell my family and friends knowing they will feel the same and not go there either. Alex W."
"Oh WOW!!! The store was very small and packed to capacity with merchandise. However that didn't deter the staff from being super friendly and surprisingly pleasant. The cashiers were so bubbly it was not hard to tell they enjoyed their jobs. Beautiful experience."
