Hockey House

"I would give this "establishment" zero stars. But hey, it is what it is. A friend of mine works at the LancerLot in the ice rink side and he told me about the pro shop. I went in the shop hoping to get fitted for a pair of ice hockey skates. But I felt like I wasn't being helped, I felt like I was an inconvenience, I also felt like I didn't belong in the pro shop either. I talked to my friend about the issue, he also tried to get fitted, and he feels the same way I do. There was one person that works in the pro shop that I got the poor customer service. Just saying and just saying how I feel. And my friend doesn't want to be named because he's dealing with being disrespected by a few people (customers and other employees and employers of the LancerLot)."

They had great people working who knew their stuff, very polite and knowledgeable, a large selection of gear including pro stock gloves from nhl teams and all for great prices. I had my skates sharpened their and they felt better than ever and it’s always nice to support your local business especially when they make you feel like you matter!"

"Best place to get your skates sharpened in SW VA, and the cheapest as well. Great selection of hockey gear, with the added benefit of trying stuff on in-store rather than dealing with horrible return policies of online retailers. Owners and staff are very helpful and knowledgeable too!"

"Excellent service. We were greeted quickly and the owner helped us find exactly what we were looking for. He also gave us a quick tutorial on skate sharpening and made some suggestions for a hollow after asking my son a few questions about the feel of his skates on the ice. Very informative and my son noticed an improvement in the performance of his skates. Prices were far better than I expected when compared to the online super stores, but the excellent service and tailored approach are the reasons why this is now the place we will be purchasing equipment for my son and myself."
