"This store is a piece of trash honestly. This past Wednesday my daughter got sent home from school cause she was sick. We stopped here and she wanted a movie. I bought her the movie and get home to find no DVD in the case at all. I try to go back with my receipt and exchange it for a copy that has the DVD but get told no refunds after the merchandise has already been opened…………. On top of this I still stop by to get a Dr.Pepper or 2 traveling back and fourth to work. Last night going to work I stop and get one, it had already been opened before once I go to open it and they tell me that I’m wrong it’s impossible. Well today my wife stops there and buys me 2 Dr.Peppers and BOTH were already opened when she brought them to me………. Don’t ever stop here for anything because they are a huge rip off!!!!"

"Convenient location for me to shop, great prices on most items... however most of the staff are not very helpfull or friendly. The male manager is always nice and a gentleman that works the register is always helpful and polite. Unfortunately the rest of the staff do not appear to have any intrest in their jobs. When you ask for help. They come off rude and don't take the time to help customers needs."

"Customer service is awesome. Ladies are like a family in there. The manager April, is by far the best manager of any Dollar General Store I have been in. She is super, super nice . Best customer service. Her store is always unbelievably clean. All of her employees, including herself are always nonstop working. Her product is always and I mean always stocked. No racks sitting in the floor. I can get anything I need in that store. I promise you though, as many Dollar General Stores I have been in, I would never step foot in any other store. I just can't get over how sweet, kind and always willing to help you. Why would you go any other place. Thank you for bringing April to our Dollar General on Brandon Avenue SW, Roanoke, Virginia. She turned that store in a 360 turn when took this store over. She did it so quickly, I didn't even realize the other Manager had left and been sent to Dollar General on Stewartsville Road head towards Bedford on Route 24 east. Thank you and have a blessed. April doesn't know I am bragging on her but a suggestion, please, please, give her a huge bonus or a very decent raise. She really deserves way more than that. Take care."

"The employees are very nice. The store could be neater though. Most of the prices are very good. The last time I was in there I was looking for something. The person working was fairly new and was trying to help me but there was another employee that was not working took me right to what I was looking for. I was very impressed since he was not working at the time."
