"My lunch was great. Cozy restaurant with a nice dining area inside along w some outdoor seating. I've never been to Hawaii, so I cannot compare to "authentic" Hawaiian food. I had the chicken combo meal. It was great. Price was fair."
"Should have read reviews before coming here, but it’s my nature to try things out on my own… Anyway, parking is limited but thank goodness for dedicated parking to the side of the building. There are even palm trees at the corner- felt like little hut, there are benches for outside seating. There were 2 people dining in and 3 people in succession who came in to carry out. Seems like there are local patrons who like this place. Well to the order I placed. I got the BBQ beef and chicken with side of macaroni salad and rice comes with the entree. Visually inviting. The beef was tender. Somehow it’s not seasoned enough. So was the chicken, visually there with its golden orange color and grill marks at the edges … but not anything great, even on the bland side. Even the macaroni salad had mayonnaise but it’s just that… warm mayonnaise, no other taste to it."
"I wanted to love this spot, but I just cannot. They messed up our order twice. I ordered two BBQ chicken and beef combo's, one with fries and one with Mac salad plus a pork bun to go. The first time we were given 1 chicken and beef, and 1 chicken with Mahi. We let the man at the register know we ordered two beef and chickens. He apologized and tried to refund us, to which we gracefully declined and put the extra $$ in his tip jar. We understand mistakes happen. However, when we got home we were disappointed to see both containers had fried Mahi and bbq chicken. Again I understand mistakes happen, but to happen twice is disappointing. I didn't want to eat anything fried and my partner doesn't eat fish. BBQ chicken was good and mac salad was a hit. Unfortunately due to our negative experience, we won't be returning. I recommend checking your order before leaving the restaurant."
"Came in 30 minutes to closing. Ordered short rib plate and katsu on the side. The meal came out at a fairly decent time- not too fast not too slow. Katsu was a little chewy, but crispy nonetheless. Short rib marinade tasted good! Mac salad is what you’d expect. Overall good Hawaiian bbq!"
"The hawaiian bbq chicken & macaroni salad were delicious & the white rice was cooked well (not mushy or hard). The pork bao buns I would recommend getting when they're fresh as I believe we ordered one quite awhile after they were made & it's texture was off. Thank you for the meal & sunset view! We enjoyed it so much."
