"The butter chicken here is out of this world! So flavorful and familiar while still maintaining a unique wonderful flavor. The raita was also excellent! Thick and flavorful! If you want Indian food, you want it from Saffron!"
"Amazing food. The Happy Hour menu had good options from food to alcohol drinks. I highly recommend this place. There was only 4 minutes left until the happy hour. Menu was open and the waiter suggested that a hurry and order."
"The food here is delicious. A couple of people in our party had never had Indian food, everyone enjoyed their dishes. One person thought they liked spicy food, so they ordered theirs at a 5 on the spicy scale "Indian hot." Let's just say they won't be doing that again! My husband likes spicy food, and a 3 was enough, haha. I love that they have many vegan options, and they're clearly labeled on the menu. Some of the appetizers are a little pricy, like the samosas that only came with 2. One dinner item is enough for two people if you're trying to cut costs. I don't think this restaurant is really used to larger groups; the server seemed a little stressed. However, he was incredibly nice! When making reservations, we were told that the check would not be able to be split because it would be too complicated. The warning was nice. There is a tip added to the check, too. ●Just a heads up for parents with children in diapers: the bathrooms do not have a changing table or a counter big enough to use. I used the counter right outside the bathrooms with my mat, which might be frowned upon, but I wasn't going to use the floor or change my baby at the table with a large group."
"I really enjoyed Saffron. I really love Indian cuisine and this place is exactly what I dreamed it would be. Everything is flavorful and puts you into heaven. The ambiance is nice and the bar is my favorite place to sit. They have all of the staples that you would expect. Go check them out in Downtown Norfolk."
"My husband and I found this restaurant last minute for dinner—and we were not disappointed! The menu had a lot of options. The pricing was fair. The flavor was amazing! The staffing was good. The bar was great. Overall, this is a good pick for a couple’s dinner date. I recommend the Tandoori chicken wings!"
