"They welcomed me in when I came in however I notice each time when I go there the discrimination is there it seems... the ladies conversations were inappropriate for work! (Younger women white ladies) unfortunately they said that they rather be home and then I guess one girl was new and she said what would you price this item ?? The young girl said I don't know I just guess!im right in front of them they didn't care.. then she states I guess you're supposed to look it up which I even know that... then they were trying to put my bags off to someone else because I guess they didn't want to look through 2 bags like it was too much for them?! In my mind I'm like why do you work here then!! I work retail for 15 years.. this younger generation is pathetic! However when a black woman and 2 other white mature women come up you could feel the tension of them trying to do more when the managers(I guess )came up..I always drop off and stand in front of them and wait I never leave because they are known to not thoroughly looking at peoples clothes!!! Which I have witnessed standing there.. they are having a lot of side conversations instead of looking peoples items up!!!the store manager definitely needs to step up and retrain !! The most prevalent thing I also see when I go there which is not much is that they have no direct functioning system of peoples items and they look like they are confused like they are trying to figure out who was next while the younger white ladies giggle and laugh and have this dumbfounded look.. it seems that they are always white young women behind the counter maybe 1 or 2 black people working there.... clearly no diversity!!!CEO DO BETTER!"

"The items are great, I found a purse and shoes I liked. But the entire time I was here, I felt very uncomfortable by the staff’s lack of friendliness. I was barely greeted upon entering the store, and the entire time I was shopping the ladies working were all gossiping in groups as they did their duties. I felt like I was getting side eyed any time I walked past, that I was an inconvenience to them, and no one spoke to me beyond the half-hearted greeting. I typically love to talk with employees of second-hand establishments, but these ladies weren’t very welcoming. I wanted to get in, and get out, instead of be able to enjoy looking around at everything there was to offer. I hope the staff can learn to become more friendly with the customers and engage with us more because I like the location and items here! But I feel that a welcoming staff is more important than the products."

"I just left the Plato Store at North Mall Drive and I have never been talked to in such a rude manner as i encountered a little while ago. When my 23 year old daughter and myself came into the store the young lady the about the same age as my daughter approached us. We told her we were picking up some clothes. As my daughter handed her the slip for her clothes and walked away i just spoke up and said her bag is the one in the floor with the plants on it. She gave me a dirty look and said I’m looking for our matching slip. She saw it on the wall, yanked it down and brought the bag over to us. I spoke up and said you don’t have to be so rude to me I was just trying to help and you were not telling me you were looking for the list. She said I know how to do my job. As a 64 year old woman, her senior. I have never been spoken to so rudely. She told my daughter they took nothing. We will not be going back to Plato ever again. My 23 year old daughter told me she was acting so entitled and she did not want your help and spoke to you so rudely. Someone needs to make her take customer training again. You will continue to loose customers with such a horrible attitude. Good luck keeping customers under with a employee like this."

"This Plato’s closet location is simply horrible. The employees are extremely rude and short with customers and act as if they are being done a disservice by simply being required to do their job. It is very obvious that the employees also do not get along due to their attitudes towards each other, complete lack of teamwork, as well as their cold as ice attitude towards the customers. You walk into this location and can cut the negative energy with a knife. Being someone who has worked in customer service for years I understand that people have bad days and also days where they really would rather not be at work, but you cannot take your frustration out on the customers and especially not your coworkers. It is a shame that the company as well as the management allows this misconduct to occur the way it clearly does repeatedly. It is also extremely telling that the reviews specifically talking about the attitude of the staff are the ones that aren’t receiving responses. The best thing for Plato’s Closet as a brand as well as this specific location is to recreate a positive and compassionate team. Once you can do that you might see your profits benefit."

"Nice clothes, but no maternity section. They turn on the air-conditioner, feel cool, and comfortably to shop in summer."
