"It was the only place we could find open after hurricane Isabel in 2003. They were warm, welcoming and amazing. So amazing, in fact, that I still remember over 20 years later"

"I normally do not post a review unless it is good but I had to warn anyone thinking of eating there. Service was terrible. Waitress had no idea about the menu and when questioned about items we were given the wrong answer. Our food came out and its was nothing as described. Asked about the mushroom sauce ans was told it was a cream base and when we got it it was a tomatoe base. Out of 4 entrees we ordered none were good and one we sent back. They re ordered a new entree and it never came out. The rest of us had finished and still no entree for our 4 th person. We at that point cancelled that entree and they then tried to charge us for it. Manager finally came over and took it off the bill. I must say this was the worst dining experience I can remember. I jad gone to this place several years beforeand was very happy with everything. My wife and I spent $61 for our part and it was terrible. Never again."

"Most definitely a hidden gem. We were not expecting all Franco’s By the Bay has to offer. Hidden in a strip mall, food was served steaming hot and delicious. Service was excellent. Suggestion were made. Server was attentive but not overbearing. Portion sizes were large enough for sharing and we still had leftovers for the next day. We will be sure to come back the next time we are in the area."

"The place is clean, an the people are nice. Pianist plays 2 days a week in the evenings. Good wine with dinner. Fresh bread served. They also have great lunch specials."

"This restaurant is a little pricey but the portions are larger than most places. The food is good and our waitress, Cat, was very good and efficient. I wasn't able to finish my veal parmesan so took it home and had it in a sandwich for breakfast."
