"Me and my friend came in to look at some anime stuff. We were followed the whole time. With us having having anxiety, we're we're a little creeped out. All we were doing was trying to shop around. As we went to checkout, a woman wrongfully asked us to leave. So we asked why. And she said it was because we had shoplifted.When we hadn't and was trying to checkout. She asked us to leave the stuff on the counter and asked us to leave. She made sure that we left and didn't come back."

"I ordered a product from Spencer’s online and it arrived broken. I was instructed to return it to the store in Newport News to have my credit card refunded but when I got there (after driving a half an hour) I was told I could only get a store credit. The website specifically says: “ For purchases made with a credit card or a debit card bearing a Visa/MC logo a credit will be issued to the card used for the original purchase. ”This store does not follow company policy and procedure."

"Workers tried to ID us and asked our age even though that’s against company policy. They then said we couldn’t purchase certain items unless we were 18 or older. Workers were also very rude. They tried to say to the manager were shoplifting when all we were doing was picking out items we liked just as anyone else would do."

"Great staff! A++ I think the manager was named Ana. She was amazing and was very knowledgeable of all the items I had questions about. I've been to many Spencer stores through the years. The store was the cleanest that I've ever been to. The store was very neatly designed. Very easy to look around at everything. I will definitely be going back!!!"
