"Stopped by on a Thursday morning. It was calm and I was greeted by a friendly staff. The food was great and the helpings are generous. I also got a hot chocolate which was one of the best I’ve ever had. A great breakfast or brunch spot."
"I had never been to this place before, my brother in law had and told me to go. I took my wife here for her birthday and got the Sqwuaking Goat. It was awesome. Great combination of flavors. The staff is friendly. Plus a little detail that meant something to me was they have coloring stuff for kids. Being a father this was helpful while the Sweet Grace's were being made. Excellent little touch the GM adds to this location. He even made his way around to chat, Corey was his name. Go there, eat food, find Corey, enjoy!"
"The biscuits were hard to get a knife through it! The gravy had very little sausage (mine had 4 pieces) in it. It was EXTREMELY SPICY! (And I like spicy!) The presentation was NOT appealing! The staff 1. was not trained in product availability…didn’t know if they had low-fat milk .2. Server asked if we needed anything else and we asked for S/P and was told to go pu over there. (they were not busy…only people there so we would expect them to wait on us, not point Or she shouldn’t have asked if we needed anything else) The reason for the 1 star for atmosphere was because I was watching the staff which was my main complaint! The employees that mixed up biscuit dough wore NO gloves nor did the person wrapping silverware which was not touched at the handle but the part that would go in the mouth! The serving size was the only thing we would give 5 stars! But we only ate half because of what I’ve all ready described! So we were in and out in less than 30 minutes. Next time we go out to breakfast, Maple Street Biscuit Company will not be considered! We will spend our almost $30 somewhere else!! (Oh and I felt sorry for a customer that placed an order to go when multiple people that came in after her were served long before her. I saw her go check on the order after several of them were served. (She didn’t order much because she left when we did and was only caring a small sack.)"
"1:30 pm Came in, ordered, clearing stating that I wanted a biscuit with sausage with an over medium egg on it and fried green tomatoes for here and an order of maple bacon to go. Order took about 7 minutes to come to table, clearly a leftover biscuit with a rubbery piece of sausage...bacon on a plate instead of boxed to go. The server took the bacon back and boxed it. The biscuit was cold and flat so I took it up to the counter and asked for a fresh, hot biscuit. No one was clearing interested in assisting me; finally, I asked for the manager, who never came, but they handed me a new biscuit. The fried green tomatoes were excellent. I have been to all three in the Richmond are and this one is clearly the only one that is not well run. Lots of staff but no one interested in customers or quality of food served. I won't be back as this my second bad experience here. My favorite is the one on Hugenot Road, always good...food and staff; I will be going back there where they CARE!! This location could take some lessons from them."
"We underwhelmed by experience. Boyfriend said give us two stars because it was not inedible. Gravy had to much flour and was bland. Everything was drowning in gravy, which made it soggy. Biscuit was not flaky but heavy. Long wait for food. Most coffee urns where empty. Don’t need to try again."
