About the MISSION BBQ
MISSION BBQ is a patriotic institution located in Midlothian, Virginia, that is dedicated to serving authentic, mouth-watering all-American food. Inspired by the best BBQ from around the country, we are committed to honoring and supporting those who protect and serve our communities. From our military veterans to our local police, firefighters, and first responders, we have your back.
Since opening our doors in 2011, MISSION BBQ has donated over $25,000,000 to vital charities and organizations that support our heroes. We believe in giving back and showing our gratitude to those who sacrifice so much for us.
Our General Manager, Jimi, exemplifies the values of teamwork and putting others first. He leads by example, always prioritizing the needs of his teammates above his own. This dedication to serving others is what sets MISSION BBQ apart as a place where everyone is valued and respected.
In times of crisis, like the evacuation of Saigon in 1975, individuals like Tom Glenn, who worked for the National Security Agency, demonstrated courage and selflessness. MISSION BBQ honors those who have served and sacrificed for our country, and we strive to create a community where everyone feels appreciated and supported. Join us at MISSION BBQ for a meal that not only tastes good but also does good for our communities and our nation.

Reviews of MISSION BBQ
"Honestly I would give the atmosphere negative stars if I could. Very creepy cop- and soldier-centered decor and on more than one occasion I've seen staff wearing "Blue Lives" shirts and pins. Food's extremely good, though."
"Excellent food, generous portions. Price a bit on high side but then food prices have really gone up in past year so that par for course. The service is really great, there was an issue with my last takeout order, partly my fault since I was a bit distracted and didn't realized stuff was missing from my order. They totally fixed it and went above and beyond. Just love this place."
"Mission BBQ has truly become a cherished haven for me, a Marine Corps veteran. Their generosity towards veterans like me is unparalleled, making me feel not just appreciated but genuinely valued. The thoughtful little freebies they offer go beyond the ordinary, creating an atmosphere of gratitude. Beyond the heartfelt gestures, the food at Mission BBQ is nothing short of a delight. Not only is it delicious, but the emphasis on healthiness adds an extra layer of satisfaction. The memories of my active duty days come rushing back with every bite, creating a unique connection that goes beyond the taste buds. The military-themed ambiance is a poignant touch, fostering a sense of camaraderie and nostalgia. It's more than just a restaurant; it's a place where veterans can relive their service days and share those experiences with loved ones. My wife, who doesn't have a military background, loves Mission BBQ just as much as I do. We find ourselves drawn back repeatedly, unable to resist the allure of both the scrumptious cuisine and the warm, hospitable environment. In essence, Mission BBQ isn't just a dining establishment; it's a haven where memories are cherished, and the spirit of service is celebrated through delectable meals and genuine appreciation for those who have served."
"Service was great as always. This by far the best location we’ve been to. Their recommendations were awesome. If you see the meatloaf - get it. If you’ve been to mission bbq - then you know everything is pretty good."
"Initial visit to this restaurant was satisfactory overall. The pulled pork was reasonably flavorful and chewy; coleslaw was not to my liking; cornbread was somewhat dry. For a chain, not bad IMHO. Will select another meat on my next visit."
