Reviews of Truong Tien Restaurant
"One of my most favorite meals in a very long while. We went for bun Bo hue but got a few other dishes to try. ALL were super delish, but the mini egg tacos were so light and crispy. I really enjoyed experiencing hue style cuisine, I have fallen in love with Vietnamese food all over again. The staff here are all very hard working, efficient and accommodating."
"All the flavors reminded me of Huế. Sweet aftertaste. Definitely recommend Bun Bo Hue when you come here. All the appetizers are good as well because they are like street food style. They have very cute decorations so plenty of IG worthy pictures. They will give you hot tea and desserts for free! So I definitely recommend you to come and try. My number one place to eat in Eden Center for sure"
"This restaurant is a whimsical slice of Vietnam nestled in the back of the Eden Shopping center. The decor and seating is very well done. The staff was super friendly and the food was amazing. I would have never known this place existed had I not walked the entire center checking everything out. I will definitely be back."
"Mini crepe tacos! New game in town is the “old town of Hue region” with tiny wood block stools and bigger tree stump stools outside as if on a small street in old Hue. Inside are tables with western style chairs for those of us who can’t get up from a tiny stool. The place has no social media but are now slammed because of a video that went viral. They have been open six months. The place is run by aunties (and I kind like to imagine that the one auntie said to her hubby, “oh I’ll show you how to get busy”). The inside of Eden Center is only normally visited but Vietnamese Americans. Now, all kinds of gringos are adventuring in. The young man in the yellow silk costume was patient with us as we didn’t speak Vietnamese. The food was delicious but I don’t know the names. The one brilliant thing (well, the old time look, and so on is also brilliantly playing to the tourist) is the conversion of the traditional large crepe omelet to three mini handheld taco sized ones. Everyone is going to start doing this. Normally people want the crepe but it’s too big… and gringos don’t understand that tearing is sharing…. So these three mini crepes… PURE genius! There are many items on the menu (with color photos) that were not available. But one automatically got warm tea and warm sago bubble soup dessert. Good way to introduce that dessert to the gringos. I can see the other restaurants converting to this “Disneyland” of “ye old indochine” and it will be even more fun to go to Eden Center. This place combined with the club boba make for a time travel experience. The staff are also great, by the way. When we wanted to take the last mini crepe home, the auntie said, “no! You eat now!” —we did. The crepe apparently does not do well as a leftover. I can’t recall what was here before but I hope my hypothesis is correct. Aunties rule!"
"Such a gem of a place! Incredibly kind staff all around, cute interior/exterior, and amazing food. We dropped in at 1030 on a weekday and were immediately seated. Tea was served right away in glass mason jars. We ordered and within 10 minutes our food was at our table. At the same time, the rest of the seats inside were starting to fill up! )best get in early) We loved every dish we ordered. Our favorite was the banh beo but banh khoai was a very close second. If you’re looking for a taste of many different things, the Hue Appetizer combo offers a savory variety and was more than enough for two. We were also given complimentary dessert which really hit the spot. Honestly, I am still thinking about this meal days later. Come give this spot a try!"
