"The food is pretty good. Not the best we’ve eaten in the dmv area but still good. The kebabs seemed a little over done but the daal and karahi’s were all good. The naans are very nice too. Pretty expensive for a desi restaurant."
"We came for Moms birthday, and I couldn’t be more happy with the experience. The initial feeling you get when you walk into this enchanting establishment is “I’m in the mountain areas of back home”. The food was really good, higher quality meat and ingredients. The favorite of the night was the Charsi Chicken Tikka. The flavors of the pink salt used to marinate the chicken really enhanced the experience and left me feeling as though I could not get enough. The grill was excellent and to perfection, as we got the crisp you can only get when a meat has had that Maillard reaction crisp and flavor (drooling as I’m typing this). The Tikka Lamb Boti and the Shrimp kabob were both seasoned and cooked to perfection. The lamb being tender, came off the skewer with ease and the shrimp melt as you take each bite. The dumpukht was excellent, though the least enticing of the great meats we had this night, and really showed the skill of the chef as the meat fell apart as you went to take each morsel. The flavors combined in the dumpukht were good as each bite was coated with every bit of the onions and ginger available. The naan was fresh and ordering extra seemed to be just that, extra. The chai was great and the sizzle will tell you that the “garama garam” chai feels were certainly had this night. We did have Gulab Jaman as well, but as you can see (or cannot for that matter) it was devoured before my phone could eat so no pic. Needless to say the dessert was a hit and was consumed in its entirety. Certainly ensure you come with no expectations, as it is an establishment created to transport (not cater to our American blooded vicious critique of hard working restaurant staff and post Covid laden difficulties such as added gratuity) and entice every sense of the diner to fully experience a night in the hills of the Himalayas (Pakistan and Afghanistan). Great job combining the flavors of the region and providing the best experience to be had for a wonderful Birthday outing!"
"Everyone knows they are overpriced but before they serve some good quality food too but these days their food quality isn't like before but prices are same.We ordered a salad along with our food and I told them to give just onions and jalapenos only. They only bring some chunks of onions in a small bowl for three people (photo attached ) I told the guy at the front desk that the quantity of salad isn't enough for three people and the presentation is also not professional.Instead of solving the issue, he started arguing with me in front of guests and I was speechless because I wasn't expecting this kind of customer service from these guys.If anyone planning to visit there with guests don't go there but if you still want to go then don't complain about anything because they will start arguing with you"
