Reviews of Cyprus Air Heating, Cooling and Fireplaces
"I had a salesman come last weekend and sold me a new gas fireplace system. I paid in full to have it installed but was told I needed a site visit to check everything out. 3 times this week the site visit scheduled was a no show. No call, no explanation. I had to call each time and ask what was up. I have not heard from a supervisor or anyone that cares about customer service. They have my money, I have no expectation for a new fireplace. I will be requesting a refund from my credit card company. I should have read the reviews of this company."
"Stay away from these people. Not sure how they are still in business. I ordered the installation of a gas fireplace. I was told a schedule that they did not keep. The installer failed to come the first day. On a different day, another installer came and told me he would have to run the gas line in front of my house and under the sidewalk and I would have to find someone to dig under the sidewalk. This was after I was told that they could connect to the gas line that feeds the furnace. Another installer came and wanted to tear up my finished basement and then drill a hole in the wall in my den. By this time, I had enough. I did receive most of my money back, however they “stole” $300 for a fireplace cleaning. I didn’t need the cleaning since they are unable to install the gas fireplace. Terrible company, terrible customer service. Do you self a favor and find another company. Based on your response, I have some additional feedback. If you want to improve your customer service, hire and train competent people. In addition, refund the money you took from me for a fireplace cleaning that I didn’t need."
"Be careful with their subscription (and be very careful about given them a sensitive credit card). It’s a very sketchy business what they are doing. Today I called customer service (falls church location) and spoke to a girl that seems to be determine to find any excuse to not help you. This led me to cancel my subscription (basically, she did not want to send a technician over and she did not want to erase my credit card information even tho I was requesting to do so). Here is what will happen to you (based on my experience): -The first winter in my new condo was in 2022. I called this company to get my fire place checked/repaired/maintained. -first technician came on December 2022 or January 2023 (during winter). He sold me into buying the subscription. One of the main reason was because he told me “next winter, we will come and do a quick maintenance/check up to your unit so you are set” …that meant winder that started end of 2023 to early 2024. -called customer service today and talked to this girl. I told her I have a subscription and that I would like to schedule the routine maintenance for my unit now that winter is about to start. She told me that I cannot until October of 2024!… I was very surprised that she didn’t want to send someone even tho I was requesting to… she said that I’m currently paying for their routine visit of 2024 and that I have 2 payments left and that my subscription will auto-renew on January 2024. Given that she wasn’t going to schedule someone to do a routine maintenance this year, I asked her to just go ahead and cancel my renewal. She then told me that she can’t because I have two more payments. I told her that I can do those payments but after that I don’t want to renew. She then told me that she can’t cancel my subscription until all payments have been process and that I’ll need to call January 2024 if I want to stop the auto-renewal (today is October 2023) and if I call after it has renew then I can’t stop payments until 2025! That was madness and what she was saying made no sense and it was unheard of in any business. So, I can’t get anyone to come do maintenance to my fire place before this winter, they have my credit card and will continue to charge it unless I call January to stop auto-renewal. I finally told her “look, I’m missing two payments, go ahead and charge me for those two payments and cancel my subscription now” and she said she will send a note to accounting and they will see what they can do hahaha unbelievable, I felt like I was in a hidden funny camera show or something. So, I have to go through loops to get my credit card deleted from their system (very sketchy), and when I do that, I would have paid for two routine maintenance visits but they only are going to provide one."
"I need a new combo HVAC/gas heat system installed. Since I've heard this company's advertisements on the radio a lot, I thought I would get a quote from them. My appointment window was from 8-9 am, so I expected the person to show up in the middle of that window and that I would be the first appointment of the day. He did not show up on time. When I called to ask why, the agent I spoke to was not able to contact him, either. She finally heard from him while we were on the phone and he had apparently been stuck in traffic. This is understandable, but all other service companies I have worked with seem to have a policy that they call either the customer or the dispatcher to let them know that they are running late due to traffic. The dispatcher I was on the phone with also did not seem to be familiar with if there was a policy they had about calling or not when they would be late. I ended up cancelling the appointment and will be seeking quotes elsewhere. If they can't show up on time for a sales call, there's no way they will be on time for service in the future. I'm taking my business elsewhere."
"First off I dont appreciate getting flipped off by your rude tech When Im in my residence driving to get out of the neighborhood, your tech is on the side, talking to a buddy in their vehicles, who are blocking the lane in order for me, or anyone behind me to get out of my own neighborhood And he has the audacity to flip me off Are you kidding This happened on Rutherford circle, sterling va 20165, 350pm, 1-3-23 Absolutely unacceptable and grounds for dismissal"
