"Decent food though expensive, But very convenient when starving at the museums!"
"Is this fine dining? No. But can you get yourself an entire bottle of wine for $22 while enjoying the American History Museum (retail of this Cab is $15)? Yep! You aren’t going to find a more affordable wine spot along the National mall. The cafe has some fun art and nice views of the EPA federal building (love me some intimidating classical architecture). If you want a nice meal walk two blocks north to The Hamilton, Old Ebbitt, or Elephant and Castle, to name a few of the many options. But if you need a snack and a tannin fix with friendly service and some jazz tunes, then this should work!"
"It was hot outside and air quality was bad, so I was happy to have lunch inside the museum. The Crisp Shrimp Po Boy ($14) was good, the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding ($6.70) was very good, the Fountain Drink ($4.60) was pricey, but I assumed I could go for refills. $27.83 was a lot to spend for lunch, but the food was good and portions were generous."
"Grapes in the cheese & crackers were moldy. Turkey, Ham, Bacon, Cheddar and Honey Mustard sandwich had no discernable honey mustard. The cheese was hard, and it was overly refrigerated. I was afraid to eat it and just ate the turkey"
"This cafe is in the National museum of American History on the mall in Washington DC. The main restaurant in the museum is closed. This is the only option, unless you want to go to the trucks outside. The Jazz Cafe is ok. It has sandwiches snacks and various types of juices, coffee and tea. I wouldn't go out of my way to go there, but if you are near the museum it's a fine time to eat."
