Long John Silver's | A&W 176 South Mayo Trail, Pikeville, KY 41501

"Unfortunately the food on the long John silvers side is nothing like it use to be. I purchased a 3 piece chicken and more dinner, a two peice fish and more dinner, an order of cheese curds (a&w side), corn on the cob and 6 extra hushpuppies. When I received my food the corn wasn't on the cob. I ask about it and then I was informed they don't serve corn on the cob any more. I drove all the way home then noticed I didn't even get the 6 extra hushpuppies at all. The chicken tenders in the chicken and more dinner were pink in the center and had a strange taste to them. Almost a freezer burnt taste but not exactly. The fish was missing almost half of its breading on one side and the French fries were dry and hard. I was very disappointed to say the least as it was the 1st time I had been able to get food from a long john silvers in years since all the other locations have closed down. Sad to say I will not be eating there again any time in the near future unless some changes are made on their part. I hope this review helps keep someone else from having a horrible food experience as I have. There was a couple positive things I have to mention to be fair. The workers were friendly, competent, and clean looking. The wait from the time I paid for the food until I received it was super quick and the hushpuppies that came with my meal were great. The time I went through the drive through was between 3pm and 6pm. The exact time I'm not exactly sure. Also it was on a week day. I bring this up only because to keep things fair the experience you have here could be completely different on a different day at a different time. That's the bad and good so you can decide."

"We use to have two Long John Silver's but, now only have one this is truly so disappointing, I absolutely Love to eat there. They have the best sea food ever, love there shrimp there big not little shrimp, so tasty perfect each and every time. There fish and chicken are delicious perfect each and every time, and oh there corn on the cob beyond delicious always, love their coleslaw. Cheesecake that's so tasty. They also have really good baked fish for those who can't eat fried food. I do wish they had a better selection of side dishes like they use to have, about thirty five year ago they had a side dish special for the summer called seafood salad Oh it was a dream come true for seafood lovers, I worked there then and ate it every day that summer, after the summer season was over I was told it would return the next summer season but, they never did bring it back, so very sad. The secret to there great food is it's the same every time always delicious, consistency is what it's about you always know the food will be great every time. If you have never eaten there your missing out on so much, it's a must do thing. Happy Eating"

"This place had a lot of Flies and water was dripping out of every air vent ,I asked the boy about the flies and he said yeah there was a lot of them, when I left he was standing there with his arms crossed like he had nothing to do and the garbage needed taken out, the dripping water needed moped up ( fall hazard) and the flies were diving at peoples food, the place needs torn down and build a new one, and get a manager that will clean the place up, bathroom was terrible. Had a hair in the coleslaw, Goodbye!!!!!!"

"This place is dead to me... - Over a period of time, the quality of food here, only gets worse. I several times, to go back and see if maybe that trend has or was changing, unfortunately it hasn't. The smell of the place is even bad when you walk in. It smells like old very hot oil. It wasn't clean, the floor looked and felt like it was covered in a small layer of grease. It was dirty and dear Lord the bathroom was nasty. But wait.... There's more.... The food was terrible. It was soaked in oil and probably the same old oil the building smelled like. The fries were old, the coleslaw was warm, nothing on my plate that should have been hot, wasn't hot at all. It also looked like someone has just tossed everything on there without a care in the world. My last trip, I didn't finish my meal, I threw it in the garbage, as did the people with me, and I left knowing that, unless there's a miracle, this would be the last time I walk through the doors. I do not recommend this place to anyone on at all. Even my enemies or the people I despise, please do not go here and eat. Always loved them back in the day, I don't know what has happened to them"
