"First off, food was very good. Only complaints were regarding service. We were seated late, which is just fine (this happens). Explanation was that the earlier parties were taking their time clearing out so the tables could be flipped, which is also fine. A good restaurant won't kick someone out of a table. Our complaint was that we arrived first out of all the other parties that shared our same reservation time (based on conversations we overheards as they checked in). And, for some reason, every other party that arrived after us that shared our reservation time was seated before us. That included two parties the same size as ours (two people). Other parties that arrived after us were also seated, who either had later reservation times than us, or showed up very late for a reservation time earlier than ours. The staff had to walk past us to retrieve the later arrivals standing behind us, and never gave an explanation as to why we weren't being seated in order of arrival for those of us who had reserved the same time. Possibly, seating regulars first, or some priority other than time placed on their reservations over us. Also never got the cocktail I ordered, but that is probably for the best since our food arrived a minute or two after we ordered so there was no time to drink it before the apps arrived."
"Vegetarian options and all the servers work together as a team. Even the bartender came to ask exactly how the cocktails are desired. I would like more than one napkin but hey the food was amazing. Very quaint place."
"Cute bistro in downtown Charlottesville with savory fare. It gets busy on a Saturday night but service was fast and courteous. We had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and chicken parm. Both tasty. I would definitely go back and try other things on the menu."
"We had a family meal and sat outside. Right away sensed that the waiters were trying but lacked professional training/example. The tables were plastic and not level. The dishes are plastic, and silverware is wrapped in your dollar store napkins. Gnocchi was undersalted and barely warm. The grits had the texture of mashed potatoes and lacked seasoning. We were never asked how we wanted the steaks cooked. The pie for dessert lacked any serious flavor, and the peaches should be cooked more to make them soft and more flavourful. Very mediocre food with the average dish costing $27."
"The food here is phenomenal and do not forget to stay for dessert. From the extremely attentive and caring service to the ambiance of this restaurant. I could not have asked for a better place to spend my anniversary with my partner. Both dishes were cooked to perfection with amazing flavor. I wish I could have taken a picture of the dessert, but we both ate that the moment it was on the table. The movie posters and jukebox aesthetic give this restaurant a rustic feel without making the seating too cluttered. We will be coming back in the future as this spot is worth every cent!"
