Reviews of izakaya khan
"I’m just giving it one star cause our personal experience was horrible, we order for pick up and our food came by like this, the ton katsu was old and thin and tasted burnt we also ordered fried rice and it tasted like it was burnt or cooked in a dirty wok, i hope they could improve on this :( won’t order from this restaurant anymore."
"The atmosphere is great as a hangout which is by design I guess for izakaya. I went to eat dinner though and not for drinks so will do another review. There were a few people sitting at the tables so not wait and service was fast."
"Took a little road trip with the family here last November. We all loved the food! There were a lot of choices, from Ramen to Tonkatsu and Bao Buns. We ended up ordering too much, but powered through and ate just about everything! The restaurant was also very clean and well lit, and the anime decor was a plus for our family. We hope to continue making trips here when we can find the opportunity to and continue to try all of the delicious food!"
"Great concept, cute place, but food delivery didn't meet expectations. The pictures of musubi didn't match what we ordered. We were surprised by the mustard sauce on the shrimp musubi (which was also all over the salmon donburi) and also by all of the mayonnaise on the egg and spam musubi. Chicken katsu was good, but way too much of the sauce that they drenched all over the chicken. 2 parents and 2 elementary kids spent $90 on lunch (2 ramen, 1 chicken katsu, 1 salmon donburi, and 2 musubi) and left somewhat satiated. Not sure why I tipped as I order at a screen, pick up my food and bring it to my table, and bus my own dirty dishes. The touchscreen to order was finicky and only displayed pictures for 1/3 of the items, and again the pictures didn't match what was served (regarding toppings and sauces). How am I supposed to special request no sauce if I don't think it comes with sauce?"
"Hey guys! It's Friday and I've been wanting to try someplace new! So today I went to Little Japan / Japanese Food Hall in Centreville. I tried a little of this and a little of that.... Takoyaki Musubi (Brisket, Shrimp, Spicy Pork) Hand roll (Salmon, Shrimp) Tako wasabi Soy shrimp donburi Combination donburi I was looking forward to coming here for a couple weeks, and I would say my expectations were pretty high! Walking in: The ambiance and decor was pretty neat! The display counters were nicely presented. The staff are really very nice and friendly. As for what I ate: The Takoyaki was decent. It wasn't bad, although I would say I've had better in the area that are more comparable to Japan. That said, I didn't hate it. The Tako wasabi was good, although it has an unfamiliar sauce on top that I didn't recognize. The soy shrimp donburi was also very nice. I've never had a donburi like this before, so it was a nice change of pace. The Musubi was ok... But honestly speaking, I would have liked it more without the sauce and with more filling. The combination donburi... I rather blame myself... It sounded like a good idea at the time, but I think it was too busy and nothing really stood out from the rest of the dish. Just a lot going on! The handrolls were lowlights. Honestly, I did not enjoy the salmon or the tuna in any of the dishes. They tasted of lower quality. The best way I can describe it is that they tasted less than the freshest. The salmon tasted like the salmon you would find at an AYCE restaurant. The tuna, in particular, tasted like it had been frozen in a regular freezer and defrosted. I would suggest that anyone try it for themselves. I am curious how your experiences compare to mine. Everything looked attractive... But maybe my expectations were simply too high, leading to disappointment. I wouldn't be in a rush to go again, especially considering it isn't the closest of places. And there you have it... Pretty though, right?"
