"An excellent place for authentic ramen and hibachi! I liked that this was a family-run business. Everything was seasoned well and the food was all fresh. Our server was nice and checked up on us often. They answered all our questions and provided good recommendations on what to eat. The environment is on the quieter and peaceful side. Price is good especially with the amount of food you get. I will definitely be stopping by when I'm in the area again!"
"Tried this place for the first time. Service was on a slow side. Food presentation was OK, but taste was bit disappointing. They served Hiyashichuka with soba ramen broth had very little flavor."
"Given that their menu consists of mostly sushi, ramen and Japanese food, they are really a Japanese cuisine and less of a pan Asian place. This place is not run by Japanese people and it shows in their food. For me, miso soup always sets the tone for a Japanese meal and I could tell by the color that it was rather watery even before I tasted it. The poke bowl was a-ok and I didn't particularly care for the taste of the mixes fishes. Shrimp tempura wasn't much better and I didn't care for the dipping sauce that it came with - didn't have much of a flavor. Service was rather nice but I most likely will not return here when I return to Haymarket/Gainesville area."
"I really enjoyed my first visit to this restaurant, I came for the ramen but there are so many things on the menu I want to come back for. It can be difficult to find really good authentic ramen that is made with bright, fresh ingredients and most importantly a rich developed broth. This was both very authentic and had a very developed broth. I ordered the Signature ramen and ate every bit of it in short order as it was delicious, I really liked the bamboo shoots as they had a lot of flavor which is unusual and I wish there was more of it. My only complaint was the size of the spoon which was actually a small ladle it was very large, I was able to use it but it was awkward."
"We have eaten here several times now and it is consistent in quality. Raman is absolutely wonderful. We have tried almost every one and none have disappointed. The Miso soup is a must. It is a smooth flavor with tofu that warms you. The green tea is whole leaf brewed, not bags like other places, so you get a really nice cup of hot tea. The tempura batter is light, crisp, and flavorful. After your done eating you really are ready to come back to get some more."
