"Read some other reviews and all I can think is that some people are just ignorant about how places like Hepner’s rip its customers off in my opinion. Took my truck in for a safety inspection. (Red flag #1) The very first thing they did upon completion was give me an estimate for thousands of $ before even telling me why my truck didn’t pass. They didn’t pass it for brakes, a turn signal light out, and they said my power steering rack was leaking. They said that my parking brake was weak which it was and quoted me an outrageously high amount to fix it and (Red flag #2) said that although my regular brakes were still in compliance that they were so close to being out of compliance that they wouldn’t pass them. What the heck? Starting with my first mini bike I have done all the repairs on my motor vehicles myself (except for parts that needed to be machined) and have done so for the past 53 of 63 years I’ve been on this side of the ground. The brakes had not yet got to the early warning detector for wear and worked perfectly, so that was a non issue as far as a safety violation goes, but what really got me was they said my power steering rack was leaking fluid. Wrong…… I have never had to put power steering fluid in this trucks reservoir not once ever in the 10 years I’ve owned it to this very day. Again they had a ridiculously high estimate to fix that so called issue. Now as far as the turn signal lamp being out…… I just smacked the lens with my open hand and it came right back on as a matter of fact I did that in Hepner’s parking lot before I left. So I took my truck home put it up on ramps, crawled my (then) 61 year old body under it and checked my power steering unit, lines and rack. Absolutely no leakage whatsoever, not even any fluid residue. Was there some road and weather wear dirt and grime residue? Absolutely yes as is normal on every vehicle driven but not a single drop of fluid or oil leak of any kind. A few days later I took my truck to the dealer in Front Royal after they gave me an estimate of $85 on the phone to adjust the parking which is the lowest estimate they can give, it’s for a half hours worth of labor and when it was all done with I was charged $105 total out the door…….”done!” and it didn’t cost me no almost a grand either. After that the following day I took my truck over to Cooks Auto Repair in Edinburg where it passed the safety inspection without any issues. So I need to say, before Cooks put the a safety sticker inside the windshield, I believe it was the owner who asked me why my truck didn’t pass over at Hepners…… I showed him the rejection paperwork and told him about the estimate cost they gave me to pass the safety inspection and he just shook his head and said thank you for showing me the paperwork. So Hepner’s rejected my truck back in 5/21. My early warning detectors for my brakes finally started squealing a couple of months ago and I replaced the pads myself for under $70 not no almost a grand once again and the parking brake the dealer fixed/adjusted is still working fine. I still haven’t put a drop of power steering fluid in my power steering unit (it shows full) and works perfectly without any noise or mechanical issues whatsoever. You can bet your life on the fact that I will never have a use for any outfit like Hepner’s nor would I ever recommend an outfit that in my opinion is dishonest, oh and by the way that turn signal lamp is still working fine. In my opinion Cooks Auto Repair is an auto repair business that is honest, trustworthy and a family run shop which will always be the kind of outfit I would recommend to others without hesitation…….."

"I can’t recommend them enough! I’m passing through with a uhaul from out of town and had trouble with my alternator. They went above and beyond to work me into their busy schedule (right at Thanksgiving) and found an alternator for me, drove to a different town to get it during one of their lunch breaks and had it installed for me within a few hours of me bringing it in. The staff is so incredibly kind and they all provide exceptional service. I’m very grateful for the service they helped me with today!"

"I went to get 4 new tires on my aluminum unpainted wheels, when I got my car home I noticed that all 4 rims was scratched around the valves stem. At first I talked to the service manager who treated me like I was dumb. Telling me "are you sure it's not dirt" and "why don't you take it to your boyfriend to see what he can do." Then two days later I get a phone call saying that they wasn't going to replace them. That was after I took them to a body shop and they told me they couldn't be fixed. So I call the owner Steven and he tells me that my wheels have rust on them and they have been scratched before. My wheels are aluminum and they don't rust. Plus the owner never saw my wheels. But he was such a nice guy that he hung the phone up on me while I was trying to talk to him. I give them 0 Stars if I could."

"Very friendly. Good work. My only complaint would be how long it takes to get an appointment. I have to wait for my service. I don’t have anyone to take me and bring me back. It normally takes 1 to 2 weeks to get an appointment to wait."

From Initially ordering the tires and scheduling the install date with Pam, to the actual install which was spot on, the whole team was professional and personable. I highly recommend Hepner to anyone in need tires. I will be back."
