"I bought an extended warranty on my 2019 Volkswagen and so far have not taken advantage of any of the coverage. And that’s OK. The car has been very reliable. I called PM VW And was led to believe that the 40,000 mile service was included in my extended warranty. It was not. I received a confirmation email from the Service writer regarding the expected work to be done and that turned into a negotiation. The work that was performed was typically “dealer over priced” and I ended up declining some of the work to have it done by my local repair shop. . Unless the car has a major problem that will require service under the warranty, I most likely won’t be back."
