Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa

"ZERO STARS - TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - DON"T BOTHER! 1/26/24 - Had a facial at the Bordentown, NJ Hand & Stone today and will NEVER go back. After the esthetician evaluated my skin she made several recommendations for possible "upgrades" that I would benefit from. She made sure to mention that I had plenty of extra "packages" and points to use to cover these services. I am a member (10ish years) and pay a monthly fee for each package (1 package = 1 basic 50 min massage or facial). I very clearly stated that I only wanted to use TWO packages during my visit today. She mentioned something about also using my extra points and I said no just TWO packages today, thank you. At check out, I politely asked how many packages I was being charged for as I only wanted to use two and was told I was charged for THREE .. 1 for the basic facial and 2 additional for the "upgrades". $210+ for a 50 minute facial. I told her about the conversation I had prior to receiving any services and before I left was under the impression that it had been corrected ... but something just didn't feel right. I decided to call back a little later to make sure and surprise, surprise I was charged for THREE. I requested to speak with the manager, Edimar, who not once tried to make it right. She refused to try and correct the situation or offer a solution. She stated that she checked with staff and I consented to the services I received and that is what I was being charged for. I again explained that I "consented" to using two packages. PERIOD. The least she could have done was offer a small $10 upgrade at a future appointment but NOPE. This was absolutely the WORST customer service I have EVER experienced. I highly recommend you choose another location as Bordentown will bait and switch you with upgrades or charges that you didn't agree to. If I could leave negative stars, I would. I also left a message with corporate, will update when I hear back."

"UsuaI have a great time but this one Male technician was way to rough. It was like he wanted to prove that his level of deep tissue was not what people can handle. He even mentioned he recieved complaints before and yet he made no changes to his method. Maybe some refresher training would be good. Otherwise everything else about my monthly visit was the best and still.continues to be my favorite self care routine."

"It was okay. Very nice staff for sure but it's just like a massage envy. It's a pay for what you get situation. Sit in the waiting area until called. I had a massage which was mediocure and facial that was nice. They book on the hour, every hour so you don't get the full hour because they have to account for changing and moving from room to room for each treatment. Call me bougie but I'd rather pay extra for spa treatment."

"If you need a facial, book an appointment with Vanessa right away! She is an absolutely amazing esthetician-- very knowledgeable, communicative and thorough. She made me feel very comfortable, asked me questions about my problem areas/skin concerns, and helped me pinpoint reasons behind some skin issues I have. She was super personable, and did an absolutely amazing job! I was very relaxed during the facial-- even the extractions were gentle (and super effective)! I left feeling beautiful, rejuvenated and confident. This is, by far, the best facial I've ever gotten."
