Dr. Alyssa Freedman

Dr. Alyssa Freedman is a licensed clinical psychologist located at 150 Lloyd Avenue in Providence, Rhode Island. She offers both in-person and online therapy services to individuals in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Dr. Freedman specializes in treating issues such as depression, anxiety, stress management, self-esteem, and college and graduate student mental health. She is trained in evidence-based treatments including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Dr. Freedman takes a strengths-based approach to therapy, focusing on positive psychology and helping clients identify and achieve their goals. She obtained her doctoral degree from Williams James College and completed her training at institutions such as Roger Williams University and Brown University's Alpert Medical School. Dr. Freedman believes in creating a safe and welcoming space for her clients to work towards their goals, and values collaboration and understanding in the therapeutic process.
