"I had a recommendation from a friend to go to Dr Manta as he had him do his knee replacement about 4 years ago and he feels Great. This was a second opinion my first Dr took fluid out of my knee three times over a year and wanted to do a regiment of shots and then injections and wanted to drag me along. I appreciated that Dr Manta took a MRI to confirm I needed replacement and I am now scheduled"
"If you’re a woman steer clear unless you want a misogynistic man in an ill fitting suit to bark orders at you like you’re working for him then interrogate you on your injury because work related injuries aren’t real in his mind and women can only get hand arthritis from lifting laundry detergent bottles. Apparently they just give away these doctorates because his bed side manner and knowledge of the situation he was walking into was awful and embarassing."
"Dr. Manta broke my femur during a partial knee replacement. He told me that my femur broke since I have brittle bones and put me on Fosamax. I had to spend a month on bedrest to let my femur heal and, when I was finally able to put weight on my leg again, I was in excruciating pain. I went to Premier for a second opinion and they said I needed to have the partial replacement fixed. I also had a bone density scan done and was told that my bones are not brittle and I did not need Fosamax. I had Premier fix the botched partial knee replacement. They did a revision and did a full replacement on the same knee. It’s been almost three years now and I still have problems walking on stairs. My knee is definitely worse than before I allowed Dr Manta to touch it."
"He jumps to conclusions before test results can prove his thoughts. Also a little quick suggesting knife before other options. Please get a second opinion before surgery with any doctor. My imaging from Fern Hill (MRI) was way off yet Manta supported findings. Two follow up doctors confirmed non-surgical options (Dr. Dodds and Dr.Roedel) and blessed to dodge a not needed knee surgery."
"I wish I could write a better review because the staff of Dr. Manta's office were phenomenal and so comforting (Zane and Bronwyn!), but I have to leave 1 star. I was referred to Dr. Manta after meeting with my PCP and having an X-Ray after a trauma injury skiing. My appointment with Dr. Manta was uncomfortable. Dr. Manta did not call me by my name, but called me 'Princess' (I am 26 yrs old!) and called my fiancé Mr. Wonderful, while also criticizing him for not being there with me as my mum had driven me (who he did not acknowledge until she asked a question). Before asking about my injury (which he didn't do at all!!), he advised that this was an ACL tear that would require surgery. Dr. Manta barely touched my leg (less than 2 seconds on top and bottom) and told me that he would bet his house that this was an ACL tear. He then advised I needed to apply for disability and that he would schedule me for surgery. He then asked if I had had X-rays done, they were already up on the screen, but he did not care to review as he felt they were a waste of time. If you can avoid Dr. Manta, I would recommend it. I felt rushed out, as though I was just a number and he gave me NO confidence in his diagnosis or surgery skills. I had no idea what the surgery is. I felt like I wasn't allowed to ask questions. While waiting for a brace to be fitted, the surgery scheduler kept popping her head in saying that she was leaving soon for the day so I didn't have much time. I went for a second opinion elsewhere who sat down with me, talked through what an ACL does, what tearing it means, how I've torn my MCL also, and how I had bone bruising which they needed to recover before they would operate so that I would have a better chance of recovery."
