Dr. Jill Maron is a renowned pediatrician and researcher who has recently been appointed as the Chief of Pediatrics at Women & Infants Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. With a background in newborn medicine and a focus on genetic disorders and neonatal morbidities, Dr. Maron brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role. As the Oh-Zopfi Endowed Chair of Pediatrics at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, she is dedicated to advancing pediatric medical care through research, advocacy, and community engagement.

Prior to her appointment at Women & Infants Hospital, Dr. Maron served as the Vice Chair of Pediatric Research and Executive Director of the Mother Infant Research Institute at Tufts Children’s Hospital. Under her leadership, MIRI expanded its research focus to include placental biology and pathology, leading to important discoveries that advance healthcare for pregnant women and their infants.

Dr. Maron is also a Principal Investigator on three NIH-funded multicenter clinical trials and has published extensively in her field. She is committed to mentoring the next generation of pediatricians and researchers, and looks forward to strengthening the neonatal academic and clinical mission at Brown University.
