"I have been a patient here for years. Ever since they joined RWJ Barnabas, the quality of patient care has gone downhill. Every time I need to see a doctor they put me with the new doctor who does not know my medical history. I have been a patient here forever of Dr. Shute, Dr. Erb and Dr. Piake (before he retired). They have a very high turnover rate of New Doctors. As such, I’ve been unable to establish a relationship with any doctor and for them to get to know my complex medical history. I do not know why they discarded me and only put me with new doctors. I tried to advocate for myself and said I was a patient of Dr. Erb’s and Dr. Shute’s, but the receptionists always keep telling me that they’re not excepting new patients. I’ve been a patient here for over 10 years. It was Dr. Shute who diagnosed my thyroid problem. She is a wonderful diagnostician. I guess I have to find a new primary since this place has gone to hell."

"I was advised to have a tetanus booster shot at my appt on June 17. I got the shot and immediately felt pain at the injection site. When I asked the nurse she laughed and said " yeah that will hurt" The injection site was high on my arm. I was in a great deal of pain 3 days later and called the office. The nurse said "Don't baby your arm and it will be fine" I am an athlete and do not baby anything! It is July 2. I am still experiencing severe muscle pain. I suspect the nurse hit a nerve at the injection site. Utter incompetence. They claim they are not at fault. Any good lawyers out there?"

"Dr. Erb is phenomenal at what she does. She's extremely patient, informative, and always makes you feel at ease. However, every time I come here I have to wait an hour or longer to be seen. This causes an inconvenience because they are only open 9am-5pm, so I have to miss a very large portion of the work day to be seen. Additionally, there have been times when I've come between 4:30pm-5pm to drop something off or pick something up, only to find that they've already closed the doors early for the day. Another frustrating matter is the wait time when you call the office. It's rare that I call and speak to someone right away. I am almost always put on hold. It seems they are short staffed. Overall, the medical care is great. But the daily operations usually causes a headache."
