"I’ve been followed closely (due to family history of breast cancer), first by another Hospital in this area for close to 20 years, then at Lourdes for the last 8 to 10 years. The first hospital offered good services, albeit longer wait time & minor issues, but I have to say Lourdes is exceptional and has exceeded my expectations. The staff at the Lourdes Hospital Women's Breast Care Center are truly dedicated to giving you the very best care. From the front desk receptionists, to the nurses, the radiologists, and the surgeon, a genuine “caring” professionalism for the patient is emphasized. My story doesn’t end with routine checkups, I was recently diagnosed with early stage breast cancer. The ultra sound guided cone biopsy I had at Lourdes was the first biopsy I experienced with minimal pain, and I’ve experienced a few with not so good experiences in the past. Thank you Dr Federowicz, due to past experiences, I’m sure I wasn’t an easy patient. You were amazingly calm & showed me biopsies don’t have to be a bad experience. After my diagnosis, time was set aside to speak with me, an hour, to discuss options for surgery & treatments, & to answer my questions. I was given a great book that answered questions I thought of after I left this meeting, and a notebook to chronicle my on going journey. This breast care center goes the extra mile to arrange every test & Dr appointment you might need for surgical clearance, obtain medical pre- authorizations from your insurance, and even arrange post operation appointments and pre-authorizations for oncology and radiation oncology, so it’s a lot less stress on you. I can say I have total confidence in my team for what lies ahead and my continuity of care, and my journey is a lot less scary because of it."

From the first phone call through my entire appointment everyone takes the time and has the patience to listen to you which is rare. The registration staff is very friendly and attentive.
