"I have trusted Denise with some extremely expensive and couture pieces, she takes great care in handling my items and does masterful work! I am extremely picky about who I choose as a tailor pieces and Denise goes above and beyond, she is meticulous in her approach. She also gives great advice regarding maintaining special pieces. I highly recommend her talents!"

"Deceiving pricing, she had me pay a deposit and would not take that out of the total cost for my alteration. Also as another reviewer posted she will roast you. Also was not happy with end result, shortened to proper length but left both my pants and shirt very loose at the ends."

"Horrible, the lady who answered the phone was so rude! I was calling to drop off my dress to get fixed because i had trouble with the zipper, she said something along the lines of "we dont fix cheap dresses here, maybe next time buy something better or bigger so that way we can ACTUALLY fix it." I went to May Tailor instead and she did the job to perfection and very very affordable."

"Wow. That's all I can say after leaving this tailor. Not only was I "greeted" with animosity and sarcasm when I first entered the store, I was lectured about how I need to plan better and stop being lazy about my formal dress getting altered. I've literally never been spoken to this way and I work in customer service so I get how taxing it can be. I came in to get a formal dress tailored on the bottom, saw that this business typically does quick alterations so I gave it a chance. I was also willing to pay a rush fee because I understand it can be stressful. I did not "have this dress sitting in my closet for months" and then decided to get it altered which is what she flat out said and assumed. Instead of just saying "Sorry, I can't help you" she decided to lecture me on how URI girls "must forget what prom season is like" and "you needed to have booked with me months ago". I was baffled by the things she was saying to me. She made me feel so stupid. I would've just moved on if she said no but instead she just made me feel so much anxiety. Ended up going to a tailor with manners and got my dream dress to fit me better. I understand the season is stressful but there's no excuse to talk to someone that way."

"Denise L. at Alterations Unlimited made the alterations to my dress for my daughter’s wedding and fitted my husband and son for a tuxedo and suit. She did a fantastic job for all of us. We looked our best on a very important day. We can’t thank her enough. She is very personable, meticulous, and an expert seamstress. It’s hard to find someone so dedicated to their work these days.
