"ThunderBird Restaurant delivers an exceptional experience with their Chicken Fingers and Fries, earning a well-deserved 5 stars. The chicken fingers boast a perfect balance of crispy coating and succulent, flavorful meat, creating a delightful texture contrast. The golden fries, expertly seasoned, complement the dish flawlessly. The portion size is generous, ensuring satisfaction for even the heartiest appetites. ThunderBird's attention to detail extends to their presentation and the quality of ingredients, making this classic combination an absolute standout. The friendly atmosphere and attentive service enhance the overall dining pleasure. A definite must-try for anyone craving a top-notch Chicken Fingers and Fries experience."
"Almost $50 for dinner and two drinks and I expect decent food. I’m not sure there was any crab in the crab cakes and I hate when the “vegetable” is from a bag of steamed veggies that probably cost 25 cents. Bread was not even good. The only thing worth eating was the cheese ball. Extremely disappointing. Ambience was only positive. Party of 6 and no one was very happy."
"The absolute best restaurant in the area. Don is an amazing cook and the lodge is beautiful. This is me and my husband’s special occasion spot for good reason!"
"Such a wonderful date night! The staff is so kind and caring and the good was amazing. This place is a gem not many people know about. We will definitely be back?"
"Critic's Corner for Wednesday This week my dining companions and I chose Thunderbird Restaurant and Lounge. When I was a young man The Thunderbird was THE place to go for a classy night out in this area. Back then it was in the height of its glory days. When we 1st arrived and parked in the front of the building I noticed that the once beautiful and inviting landscaping was in disarray with rotting wooden ties falling onto the parking area and the steps going into the building were in such badly need of repair you had to be very careful walking up them to get into the building. Needless to say it needs more than just a little TLC. If you are not careful those steps could be very dangerous. We arrived early for our reservations and went into the bar for cocktails before dinner. One could either sit at the bar or sit at tables or booths adorned with Lennon table clothes. Our bartender was very attentive And friendly. When it was time to eat and meet the rest of our group we entered the dining Hall. ... It is a large impressive area. But I'm sorry to say that there was a terrific musty smell that permeated the room. I'm sure It has something to do with the the restaurant being closed for three days a week.. It could use a proper airing out to eliminate the odor. Our waitress Was very kind and efficient In fact she was charming. Our meals ranged from steak salad, Oscar salmon, roast beef, veal parmesan and steak and shrimp. Two of us had Onion soup to go with our dinner. The Onion soups were served very Hot and looked very inviting, however I found that it was too salty for my taste. The Oscar salmon was exquisitely prepared With a hollandaise sauce topped off with broccoli instead of Asparagus which was fine with me. I heard no complaints About our meals. The presentation of the food was 2nd to none. Over all we had a very pleasant evening, However the falling railroad ties and the disarray of those steps going into the building , Along with the musty odor in the main dining area has dampened my recommendations. The once shining star and toast of Dining cuisines in our Immediate area has become a diamond in the rough."
