"Our dog breezy two years old, started to bite other dogs and the occasional person. We tried other training and had moderate results, but still had issues. Since going to Lorrie and coaching, canine companions, breezy has become calmer, more responsive, and a happier dog. Lorrie‘s program and the work she has done with breezy even after one day has made the world of difference to us."
"Coaching Canine Companions has been a very enlightening process while training my black Lab, Buddy, now 16 months old. My goal is to have an emotional support dog who will be with me nearly everywhere I go but first we must address his behavior as it pertains to barking, jumping, high energy, and paying attention. This training has helped me understand his needs and respond to them. Having a set routine has been ideal and as well as keeping a journal of his improvements. This training is a kind and gentle way of inspiring a closer bond between owner and dog which will last a lifetime."
"Our 4 month old puppy, Theo, began his Dog Day Training Camp with Lorrie earlier this month, and we are thrilled with his progress so far. Theo has already spent 6 day sessions with Lorrie and will continue for another 6 day session program next month. Lorrie's training involves much more than teaching basic commands, which are part of the program, but also includes important socialization and enrichment exercises, learning how to play with other dogs, and bio-energy work to calm and center Theo. As a canine behaviorist, she has helped to identify behaviors and tendencies in Theo that other trainers, or we, would never pick up, to help Theo grow into a calm and confident dog. Lorrie also takes the time to teach me important training techniques so I can reinforce his training at home. We can't wait to see what the next round of training brings to Theo. I highly recommend Lorrie's training programs!"
"Amelia is our wonderful border collie/Australian Shepard mix pup. She is two years old and the most intelligent dog I have ever known. She was a confident, happy-go-lucky dog up until six months ago. We were walking at dusk when a lone coyote started chasing and stalking us for approximately 2 miles. Since that time, she has been full of anxiety and spends most of her days under the bed. She stopped going for walks, and it is a daily power struggle to get her to go outside to relieve herself. The vet was not quick to medicate her, but she progressively went downhill. By the 5th month (post-coyote), the vet decided to put her on Prozac and Trazadone. We spoke to several behaviorists and trainers and even hired a few. Nothing helped. Then, we found Lorrie. After meeting with Lorrie, we decided not to medicate Amelia. Instead, we decided to have Lorrie work with Amelia without the medications clouding her issues. It was important to us that Lorrie see exactly what Amelia was experiencing. The vet has since agreed Amelia is now thriving and is not in need of medications. Lorrie is the calmest, most Zen-like person I know. Instantly, Amelia fell in love with her and her doodles. We purchased the package of 6 classes. By the 3rd class, Amelia was noticeably improving. Lorrie worked with my partner and me, as well as Amelia. Amelia is back walking 3 to 4 times a day, happily engaging with other dogs and people. I tell everyone I know about Lorrie. The transformation in Amelia is remarkable. Seeing Amelia happy and confident again is something I was not sure would ever happen. It is incredible how many people state they are dog behaviorists and dog trainers. Lorrie is the real deal. She has taken a deep dive into the science of dogs and what makes them tick. She is able to observe and decipher that the dog is experiencing. If ever there was a dog whisper, Lorrie is it. Thank you, Lorrie!"
"If your looking for a trainer, Lorrie is definitely the one you want . She’s very kind, understanding and patient with dogs and owners . She take the time to explain everything in detail to make sure everyone’s on the same page . Lorrie has been amazing in helping with my 3yr old gsd with her anxiety, and getting her into her thinking brain. I started seeing results right away .I wish I had met Lorrie sooner as I’d of taking all my dogs to her . I highly recommend Coaching Canine Companions. Thank you Lorrie."
