Baker's American Bar & Grille 801 New Jersey 33, Monroe Township, NJ 08831

"Was looking for a new lunch spot so tried Bakers on a Sunday. Spent 85 bucks. Started promising. We ordered several items off the Happy Hour Menu - even asked our server to be sure. Then we ordered lunch. Our friend said her Corned Beef was good. Our burgers were blah - plain - no taste (I'm a burger snob). I never got a refill on my iced tea after waiting a long time for food - fries were cold / soggy. We got the bill and everything was more than it said on the menu from my French Onion soup to a well drink and a beer. I should have asked on the spot but had already handed her my card. I wrote them that evening and never heard back. So....what started as a promising new regular place to eat turned into an I'll tell all my friends who play pickleball at Monroe right behind here to eat somewhere else. I usually give a place 3 tries before deciding if we like it or not but not this time."

"We stopped in the Bakers American Grille tonight after years of anticipating a visit and Ordered the BBQ sampler #4. I was slightly disappointed. The included cornbread was smaller than a mini muffin, the brisket was dry and no BBQ sauce was included. The macaroni and cheese was tasteless and separated as if it were not fresh or reheated multiple times. My wife ordered the beef stew which was mediocre at best."
