About the Business
Pathway Karate Academy, LLC is a family-centered Karate school located in the Smith Hill section of Providence, Rhode Island. As the Hombu (Home) Dojo of the martial arts style of Nihon Koden Shindo Ryu, we are dedicated to teaching the classical values of discipline, strength, respect, unity, love, humility, and trust. Our instructors, led by Sensei Mark Mason and Master So-Shihan Felton Messina, are highly trained and certified, providing a safe environment for all students.
In addition to traditional Karate classes, we offer Zumba and Yoga classes to promote overall well-being. Our students have the opportunity to participate in regional, national competitions, and even the Olympics through our membership in the USA National Karate Federation. We also offer after-school programs, summer camps, and virtual classes for convenience and flexibility.
At Pathway Karate Academy, we understand the importance of affordability and flexibility. We offer family-friendly pricing, including unlimited class options and $10 drop-ins. We never lock you into a contract, allowing you to cancel or restart at any time. With our simple financing options through PayPal, you can enjoy our classes with no interest if paid in full within the first 6 months.

"Great place to send your children for after care and summer camp. They have a lot of fun activities and always keep the kids busy. They take the children on field trips. The facility is safe and clean and the people are trustworthy."
"The worse place to work at(couldn’t stay a month). Zero professionalism, understaffed and mediocre service. DHS rate it 1 star for child learning program(save your money and your child from trauma). The owner is a narcissist who contradicts himself with “being a Christian” “Christian based facility.” The staff all has something negative to say about him but won’t voice it(don’t want to deal with his wrath). I had to take karate class taught by the owner and I did not enjoy it. Most of the children don't like staying for karate either. The business is only running because parents need a place for their kids to go after school. I don’t recommend it at all."
"Messaged me on Indeed saying that I applied for a position AND made an interview, BOTH OF WHICH I DIDNT EVEN DO!!! Messaged me again on Indeed saying “Since you did not show up for your interview (that I never made!!!) we were assuming you were no longer interested in the position (which I never applied for!!!). I am sorry for he disappointing news”. Yes I am basing my review on this and not actually attending the academy itself... highly do not recommend"
