"767 acres of pristine land! A beautiful oasis full of various kinds of vegetation, wildlife and some incredible views. Excellent for walking, hiking, meditation, picture taking, paddling, biking, exploring and so much more! Some breath taking views. Each season always provides a unique experience. The air is fresh and invigorating as this is located right next to the open ocean."
"Bird watchers and nature lovers from all over stop by to enjoy this lovely wildlife refuge operated by the US Fish and Wildlife Service. Hiking only. Closed sometimes for archery hunters. No bicycles, pets, jogging etc. Saving the planet one turtle at a time. In addition to turtles, see frogs, deer and all kinds of birds. Major migratory route stopover."
"Trusting pond is a wonderful place too go for a leisurely walk and birding adventure. I spent be 3 hours there. Could have stayed longer."
"Well maintained trails."
"The trails are well maintained. There are benches to rest at and a nice look out point. The trail is muddy in places after rain or snow melt, like most trails. The feeders at the trail head attract a good variety of song birds. If you are hoping to see waterfowl I recommend bringing binoculars or a camera with a good zoom lens."
