"I received a service (probably because of a new medical assistant training and clueless) that was not medically necessary apx 3 years ago. Consequently I was billed for the charge of apx $300 directly from Center for Sight. I made SEVERAL attempts to speak to the office manager to resolve this unnecessary service - no fault of mine. I went directly to the office, I called, I left messages written notes at office and telephone, I spoke to the tech during an appointment… nothing worked. They now have submitted a negative remark to my credit score and the bill is in collections!!!! (A comment I ignored but now here it comes) An associate in the optical shop said maybe I should wait for my hair to grow out before I choose a frame! Wait! What? I kid you not, she is arrogant. Proceed at your own risk! Never ever will I ever use this business again."
"I was at this practice for 15+ years and decided to leave it. My doctor left to start her own practice a few years ago during COVID and I lost track of her so I stayed here. At one of my visits, I was sitting completely alone in a separate waiting room and the male doctor walks out and loudly bellows “Lemay” like he’s my football coach or something and he’s sending me in to play! I’m a paying patient and I deserve to be addressed appropriately for that setting. I did get an exam but he had zero personality. My next doctor was much better but honestly I want to see and like my eye doctor consistently. I don’t want various doctors. There have been quite a few comings and going’s here but the energy of the office has changed all around too and it’s not enjoyable. Thankfully I found my original doctor, Cristina Lopes in Rehoboth, and my next appointment is set. Also, their Optical Shop is super pricey for new eyewear, I learned that years ago being a patient so shop around elsewhere locally. Trust me, everyone else beats their eyewear prices around here.,"
"Sorry for the long post but it's worth the read before making an appt at this office. I had cataract surgery performed by 2 different doctors at Center for Sight. I ended up with 4 retinal tears which I had to go to Mass Eye and Ear on an emergency visit because they could not take care of me. Every time I have been to this office I have waited at least 2 hours to see the doctor. I had my 1st eye done in March 2022 and I still do not have glasses that I can see out of. I paid $850 in their optical shop for progressive lens which I specifically told them that I was non adaptable in the past but I was talked into getting them now that my cataracts were done so i trusted them. I could not see out of them. They then ordered me lined bifocals which were ordered wrong and I had to wait 3 extra weeks for them to make them. When they came in i still could not see out of them. I was told that in order to have a pair of single vision lens made i had to pay them another $241. This is after I already paid them $850 for a pair of glasses that I can NOT see out of. The practice manager Jayne was contacted by Lisa in the optical shop and was told that there was nothing that they could do. That was their policy since they had already redone the lens for me once. So I have an $850 pair of glases that are absolutely useless to me and they messed up my eyes. I could see so much better before cataract surgery then I can see now. Since I had the surgery I have no up close vision without readers. I can't even see my watch and I can't see distance without glasses which the cataract surgery was supposed to correct. All I can say is before making an appt at this office, call around and and get other recommendations. And before having cataract surgery, get a 2nd opinion."
"Absolutely do not recommend going here. I came for a check up and to update my prescription for my glasses and wanted a prescription for contacts, just a prescription on paper so I can buy some online. The doctor said they give me a few for a trial to see if I like them I said I didn't know they just gave you some and he said yes as a trial. Then when I got to check out the lady said the 5 one a days they gave would cost 115$. I said I didn't know I had to pay he said it was a trial and what if I don't like them? And so I said I didn't want them and to take them back if I had to pay. And she refused to take them even tho I haven't left with them and was just handed them a minute ago. She said it was in the computer and I will be charged no matter what. Absolutely ridiculous and they were very unclear. If I was told the trial for 5 one a days would cost me 115$ I would have said absolutely not don't even hand them to me. And when I asked for a print out of my contract prescription she said I have to pay for the contacts first. Ridiculous!"
"I had a wonderful optometrist in Swansea but I needed to have my cataracts done and was sent here. And I will say they did a good job on the surgery. I had a follow up appointment on another date at 1 o’clock and I got to see the doctor at 3:30. They said they were running behind. My next appointment I made at 9am, figuring after the previous appointment they can’t possibly be running two hours late if I’m one of the first appointments of the day. I was very wrong because I didn’t see the doctor until noon. The worst part is when I finally saw the doctor, he rushed me through my appointment (maybe he wanted to go to lunch?). Not having learned my lesson the first two times and being a glutton for punishment apparently I went back a third time. This time I waited an hour and a half and finally asked the nurse how much longer. She told me she would check and returned fifteen minutes later and said it could be another hour or hour and a half. I ended up walking out. And can you believe they have the nerve to bill me?! Because their time is valuable! Apparently my time is worthless. If you want to wait all day and be treated like a farm animal, I can wholeheartedly recommend them. Otherwise if you want to be taken for a 1 o’clock appointment at 1 o’clock go somewhere else."
