"Apparently they are incapable of dialing a phone. I was supposed to be contacted a week ago to set up a colonoscopy ("someone will call you first thing tomorrow morning"). Since when is tomorrow almost a week later? Calling them is a complete waste of time. They know what they can do with their colonoscopy. I'll attempt to find a gastroenterologist with an office that's a bit more professional, although I'm not going to get my hopes up. 99% of doctor's offices these days seem to have useless staff. You can't even complain to the doctor since it's virtually impossible to see one, you have to see the glorified nurse first, who's as useless as the office staff itself. Finally, over a week later they call. They aren't going to waste anymore of my time. Just like University Orthopedics, a waste of space."
"I'm giving it 3 stars and here's why. 1.The nursing staff and Dr was very sweet during my intake +1 2. Zero physical discomfort to the areas they inspected +1 3. Once I got there we were in and out +1 4. Took weeks to get an appointment -1 5. Sheets has stains from prior patients -1 6. I woke up anxious and pulled my IV out, the nurse that was there when I woke up was not one of the ones I was familiar with when I arrived, she was more concerned with "the mess" than if I was ok mentally or physically. In which I reminded her of the quality of the sheets I "ruined" by pointing out an old feces stain that didn't get bleached or washed out. Asked for my AMA papers and left. No one ever asked if I was ok, and I have no idea how to get the results of my tests now.. So going in was good, but leaving wasn't (ATLEAST for me) And after reading the other reviews, I guess I'm going to have my wife double check if we go billed 2x.."
"I had a colonoscopy at the East Greenwich office. I was somewhat required as several members of my immediate family have died from Colon Cancer. Medical and Insurance paperwork was submitted months in advance as requested, yet the receptionist asked for the same materials when I showed up the day of the procedure. The procedure went very smoothly and was very much by an assembly line, and took no time. No cancer was found but the most distressing part was the practice of double billing by University Pathologists (now Sonic Healthcare, ) which to date has not been corrected. As a result I had to involve the RI Attorney General's Office, since in my opinion the practise of double billing bordered on Medicare Fraud and Elderly Abuse. This issue has yet to be resolved."
"The PA I saw today was simply atrocious she wasn't interested in helping me But more or less setting up tests that I Already went through and explaining it to her was like explaining it to somebody that couldn't speak english. I am just so thoroughly disgusted on how I was treated. No help whatsoever. I don't think I can ever go back to that place again."
"I usually never post reviews, but so far not impressed. I waited over an hour for my first apt, they had 6 pages of history to fill out which I thoght was excessive. I finally get into the exam room and had to use the ladies room.. they said they had no restrooms in that area and made me go all the way back out to the waiting room to use the bathroom there.. I had to wait for them to unlock the door to get back to the room. Wound up seeing a nurse who refused to give me any meds for an IBS flare, said I have to have a colonoscopy.. so fine.. but I have concerns about the bathroom thing and also a question related to a surgery I had before. I have tried multiple times to get the doctor to call me back and I never received a call. They don't bother returning calls; the use a callcenter who often are difficult or impossible to understand and obvs is outsourced because they don't know answers to anything basic. No one returns calls. I didn't feel heard or well treated. If that's what their office is like, what on earth goes on with procedures? Not something I care to find out."
