"Eh. I’ll start with the good: fries were great and the waitress (when we did see her) was nice. Ok onto the bad: Ordered the West Reading cheesesteak, the meat was over cooked, the crushed red pepper spread was only on one half, and the cheese was only on the other half. Oh and we waited over an hour for our food."

"Ordered cheesesteak & fries for pick up. The girl who handled my order was nice. Service was up to par & food was done on time. Cheesesteak had an off flavor. Definitely wasn’t fresh. It was mushy. Very disappointing. Fries were nothing special. I think the oil needs to be changed. For $18.02 I was expecting awesomeness. Carlos pizzeria restaurant on Penn Ave surprisingly has one of the best cheesesteaks around & reasonably priced. You’re welcome."

"Stopped by today for an impromptu lunch at around 2 pm. Very unique, off the beaten path local pub. I believe the building was 3 row homes gutted and made into one building. Nestled on the corner of 3rd & Spruce in a row home neighborhood near Reading Hospital with available free street parking right outside the pub. Kid friendly. There is adequate outdoor seating with covered awnings. Large indoor pub with some private rooms, seating at the bar, game room with awesome shuffleboard table. Upstairs balcony seating overlooks main eating area. The pub was very clean and service was excellent! They have a unique menu and a nice “on tap” variety of IPA’s. Our food was delicious, hot and fresh. Personally, I had the delicious Short Ribs sandwich on a brioche bun with sweet potato fries. The meat was fall-apart tender and not fatty. Everyone really enjoyed their selection - Spruce Cheese Steak was packed with meat & not sauced. The cheese burger was tender & delicious! Our server, Taylor S., had great suggestions and thoroughly knew the menu and the IPA selection."
