"Based on his reviews, I called to become a new patient of Dr. Weinstein. My previous provider moved, so I need a new PCP. My previous provider was also Middletown medical, so I figured this would be an easy switch. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Apparently, Dr Weinstein has to review your medical records before he makes a decision to take you on as a patient. In order for him to review your medical records, you have to switch your insurance to him as your pcp, which is ridiculous, considering you may not even be accepted as a patient. I was then told that he is primarily Pediatrics now, which is interesting since the website lists him as a PCP. Nevertheless, he is also booked out over 6 months. So even if you went through the trouble of switching him to your pcp, then waited 4 days for him to review your records, you would still have to wait over 6 months for your first appointment. Honestly, they should just remove him from the website as available PCP providers, because I do not consider this available, or helpful for that matter"
