Reviews
"Not sure how this place stays open with the junk items and rudest staff in westerly."
"Had a lovely chat with Lois and Bruce, they gave us plenty of great recommendations for the area and were very friendly"
"The only thing better than the nostalgic trip down memory lane that Mary D’s Antiques and Collectibles will certainly elicit, is the company of Bruce and Lois, the couple that run the store. They are such an amazing couple, with some amazing stories. (Make sure to get her to tell you about the story of ‘her mural’.) If you are in Westerly, or anywhere even remotely close, you should stop by, even if just for the friendly conversation and amazing recipes."
"Mary D's is not a pleasent place. The women at the counter was so very Rude. My husband was admiring a piece of furniture which had a sliding front door. When it slid it made a small sound to which we heard,"what was the loud noise". We explained What it was and she made some nasty comment that i couldnot hear the whole thing.it was time to leave. On the way out we were told that that piece was not for sale and that she was going to follow us home and beat up on our furniture. Crazy lady beware"
"1 star is too generous. Zero stars for zero hospitality, rude comments, and yelling across the store. We were greeted with a bad joke about, "what did you buy, groceries?" We didn't say anything in response because it didn't make any sense. Followed by this woman yelling across the store to her husband, "These people can't take a joke." We continued browsing, and she asked us to bring our bags to the front of the store behind the counter "to have both hands free because we couldn't touch things with one hand." We thought she was joking, so we didn't pay any mind to her. Then she said, "bring your bags up here now or get out of my store, you hear me?!" Thinking she was joking, we said with a laugh, "Loud and clear." She said, " Seriously, get out. You're not welcome here anymore!" Then she tried to have her 70 year old husband kick us out. First of all, if you touched us, we would've pressed charges of assault. Second of all, what is a 70 year old man going to do besides break his hip? And third of all, what if I had only one arm and ond hand? RUDE, DISCRIMINATORY PEOPLE WHO OWN THIS PLACE!!!! I highly recommend staying far away from shopping here. Unless you want to be bullied by an old woman with oxygen and bad jokes, who sits behind the counter shouting at you from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave or get kicked out for using one hand."
