"So I walk in and the receptionist barely acknowledges me and that should’ve been my queue to leave. However it’s hard trying to find a stylist and I don’t want to drive an hour to Providence each time since I recently moved here to Westerly and would love to support someone local. I ask the receptionist if I could speak with a stylist so they could let me know if they felt comfortable working with hair type and texture since I am AA and understand that not all stylists have the most experience with my type of hair. She was completely dismissive and her tone was very “could not be bothered”. She didn’t ask anyone if they could come see me, she literally handed me a card and actually turned back to what she was doing. No farewell, no instruction. Just brushed me off. I stood there confused and walked out but came back so I could give her back the card bc if that’s how they treat potential customers, I would NEVER spend my money here. At the very least she could’ve just said “honestly I don’t think you’d be a good fit here” and I would’ve respected that and left but I felt disrespected and dismissed. I won’t recommend them to anyone."

"I have been seeing the same stylist for the last couple of years, however this spring my husband and I began traveling full time. With Covid, I decided not to push getting my hair done, and waited about 6 months before looking for a place to go. We are from Wisconsin, and being in Rhode Island, I had no one to go to for recommendations, and choose Salon 240. Not only did they do a WONDERFUL job on my very heavy highlights, I am happier with my hair than usual. I was very pleasantly surprised, and the price was barely more than I am used to paying, which I know I get a deal on. I would definitely recommend their services, and would return without question if I was going to be in the area long enough!"

I was a little nervous when I stepped in because it seemed a little cold, not a warm welcome and its in a strip mall... But Danielle was GREAT! She listened to my needs and actually delivered. My hair felt amazing and looked perfect. Exactly what I asked for!! I will not hesitate to go back here and try new things. Maybe some crazy colors? Maybe a new crazy cut?
