Reviews of Chelo's Hometown Bar & Grille
"Had dinner and dessert at Smithfield location on Saturday night and is was busy. We had a young and very thorough well trained server who rechecked everything. I have a thing for great service. Our food took quite a while to come out we didn't say anything to anyone. But after we got our food the manager approached our table and apologized for it and made it right in more ways than one. Made our rare family night out a great one. This is why I love this location. They train well and appreciate their customers. That's why I'll allways be a loyal customer and keep coming back. Well and of course for the dessert. Thanks!"
"The food is really good here I always enjoy eating here when I can."
"Always consistent, tasty and comforting food. You're not getting a five star meal and waited in hand and foot BUT that's the whole point! You know that to expect and it never fails to satisfy. Very family friendly so expect kids to be playing and loud; be nice and play with them or say hi. Most parents are really good about keeping order but sometimes kids will be kids and you knew that going into it. I highly suggest the meat pie, it's great!"
"The experience here was like at most American cuisine restaurants across the country. My server was attentive and ensured that my meal was satisfying, addressing any requests regarding making my dining experience better. The lobster roll was missing a bit of flavor, but I ate it due to the price I was paying for it. In addition, I ordered a to-go meal, which would have been my dinner the following day, but... I had it that night, and it was delicious!"
"Food here was good, plain. A pretty nice chelos as compared to the Prov/Pawtucket one. The bar area had sports on. Surprisingly really busy all day. There seem to be a ton of staff here but it really was consistently busy and they needed that many, maybe more. The whole bar area was full the entire time I was here. Every time someone left, the spot filled right back up minutes after. They have good, strong free WiFi There’s a large parking lot because it’s inside a strip mall. Completely unrelated to my review: (It is no where near a real bus stop so don’t plan on taking public transportation here. One express bus comes through once but they’re hours apart and not regular. Definitely not walkable either. I tried to walk but it’s like along the highway with no spot to walk, I had to order an Uber. The customers here were all aged over 50+ or families)"
