"This review is specific to their Customer Service when having an issue with a tire. I called every day starting on a Sunday two weeks ago, finally had to actually go into the club on Wed. The Tire and Battery desk was severely understaffed and I had to go through the main Customer Service Desk. Once my tire was looked at (thank you very much to the kind mechanic who was able to determine my tire was badly damaged and needed replaced) no one could initially get a follow appointment scheduled. So I then spoke with the manager who got me scheduled for the following Tuesday. I asked if the tire was in stock and was told yes, it would be there. Well Tues arrived, I took time off work to get to the club for my appointment and the tire WAS NOT there. I was offered no apology just a very quick explanation that they ordered it for me and it will be on its way. I asked about the pro-rated amount and was never told how much I'd be paying. It's always fun when you get home to see an email receipt with the amount you are going to be paying ... esp when it's over $200 for a single tire. I don't entirely blame the folks at the club because it was very obvious to me that this department is ridiculously understaffed. How hard is it for Corp to centralize a call center for these mechanics who can barely get you car serviced and no one else at the club is trained on how to work this desk for the time that your store is open? Esp when I see that your cutting staff across the store? Part of why I come to Sam's for tires is due to the customer service and to have the extras (free rotation, patches, etc). You've made my decision to go elsewhere in the future very easy."
