NovaCare Rehabilitation - Mt Laurel

"While I found the secretary to be very warm and friendly, I did not find this in the Therapists. If you are on Worker's Comp, please find another location. I'm guessing this or another reason for my poor treatment at times. I presented myself as friendly to try to form somewhat of a relationship with the therapists as I would attend therapy for a while. Even with doing so, I found the two therapists (Ms. Richman and the other one) to be cold and dismissive. If you want your pain to be treated as if it doesn't exist, met with snarky, sarcastic comments, and your treatment plan to be not known then this is the place for you. When I first met Ms. Richman and expressed my desire to return to work quickly, she said, "At least you want to return to work and not beat the system." What professional says this? Excuse me, but I have worked for over 30 years dear. I didn't even want to go onto Worker's Comp the doctor told me that I had to. For more than a month, I didn't go even when it was offered. So stop it! After I overheard Ms. Richman mocking my pain(she thought that she was whispering) to the other therapist and another smart comment, I refused to return. I didn't want it to get to the point where I had to tell her about herself. When you find yourself arriving at Physical Therapy refusing to go in because of cold behavior it's time to go. I'm surprised that she does this for a living because she doesn't seem to enjoy it."

"I recently started going to NovaCare to recover from a lower back injury. Abagail has been great! She was thorough in evaluating the injury during our initial appointment, explained the various exercises in detail, welcomed feedback, and answered my questions during the sessions and via the patient portal. I had been somewhat nervous before starting PT, but she put me at ease from the start and has made the recovery process a collaborative effort. Update (11/2021): I went back this year after dealing with another lower back issue. I worked with different physical therapists but had a similarly positive experience. They made the necessary updates to my care plan, and I was able to purchase a few items to help with my at-home exercises."
