"A hidden gem in Burlington City! I typically drink black coffee and I can confidently say they’re some of the best I’ve ever had. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. There are times I like to just brink a book, grab a coffee, and enjoy the ambiance. I highly recommend!"
"I am honestly done with this place. I have been supporting evermore since they first opened many years ago and throughout the pandemic, where they operated out of their window and even utilized their workspace when that was a thing. I appreciated their work, quality and passion for coffee. But ever since the owners started to no longer be present, step away, hire staff in their place and focus on expansion of their business, their shop and the experience has just gone way way down. I feel like there is always new staff every time I am there which signals high turnover. The staff is very rude and the indifferent to customers. I’ve felt that the woman manager? (not Lauren, the owner) was only nice to certain people even though there was a point in time where I used to go there regularly. They are in general so rude and it feels like customers are a nuisance to them unless one of their friends walk in. Sometimes I would question why I’m still going there but maybe it was because I had good memories of their shop during their first couple years and used to enjoy talking to the owners. Now the coffee is just made in a very haphazard, rushed and honestly half as*ed way. There used to be a very community type vibe and passionate feel about their drinks and atmosphere which no longer exists. The new location that they moved into is very nice from a visual perspective but that’s about it. The staff seem like they don’t want to be there, are rude, don’t want to answer any questions or even try, and are not knowledgeable at all about the nuances of their food, beverages or coffee. It’s very disappointing to see how this place went downhill so much throughout the years. I keep on giving a chance after chance after chance because it’s one of the few places in the area that are craft and that focused on the nuances and quality of coffee. But I just cannot do it anymore after so many negative experiences. I know that the owners are running a business and they’ll probably want to ensure that they grow and do well but I think that the experience and quality of their product / experience has definitely veered away from their core when they first started out and I cannot support that any longer. I just recently went there to get a cappuccino, and the staff, of course was rude and gave me hard time when I said I wanted to get it for here. They want to force you to get it in a to go cup so they don’t have extra dishes to wash. This happened to me before once as well where the staff only was giving out to go to cups and not ceramic because they were just too lazy to have to wash the dishes after. You have to almost fight to get it in ceramic to drink in shop. They also were too lazy to even do any latte art (photo attached) and the cappuccino was hot and on the bitter side. It’s really just a frustrating and disappointing and I’m no longer going to be supporting this business."
"This spot came highly recommend so I took the half an hour ride to see what all the fuss could be about. The cappuccino was good, is give it an 8/10. It came in a paper cup, which I noticed is probably because I didn't ask for a mug, others sitting around me had mugs, and I already find coffee is much better when it comes in a mug. I had a cranberry walnut scone as an accompaniment, and it was actually the star of the show. My wife had an oat milk cap, and she liked it, but her croissant was less pleasing. The staff were pretty quick and had a good rhythm going to handle the constant flow of customers, but there was a lack of smiles and general warmth and hospitality that I've found in other cafes this week. I'd go back again is I was in town, but I'll probably not make the drive special again."
"Great coffee shop right by the Delaware River waterfront. Ideal spot for a Saturday morning. Food and latte were both good quality. Only issue we had was the colored checkered parchment paper they served our breakfast on bled all over the food, but they made us new food."
"breakfast burrito, breakfast sandwich w/ bacon, and iced matcha latte were really good. It was busy on a Sunday around 12pm so total wait time was ~15 minutes but worth the wait. Would definitely return. It’s aesthetically pleasing, clean, and we received great service"
