Reviews of The Boardwalk Sweets & Treats
"Not no more boardwalk is now Loris Ice Cream super delicious and the staff super friendly!!!!"
"Saturday night 8 pm. 5 to 10 minute wait to order. To be expected and desired. Good ice cream is an indication of a line to order. Lot’s of choices and the prices are reasonable. Nice staff working the windows. Great experience and will go back!"
"I waited a week to go to this ice cream place. It had a lit-up sign that said "OPEN" and it closes at 10:00. My family and I got in line. Then, at 9:50 the staff told the people in front of us to tell us they were closing. There are a number of things wrong with this. First, the staff closed early after I had waited in line. They couldn't whip up a couple of soft serve ice cream cones in ten minutes? I guess not! Well that isn't the kind of service I want to pay outrageously high prices for. Also, they had the audacity to ask the poor people in front of us to tell us that we would not be getting ice cream. That created an awkward situation that proved the employees knew they were doing everything wrong. Unfortunately, the only other ice cream place close by also closed at 10:00, and by the time we drove there it would actually be time for it to close. So, we headed towards McDonalds which actually serves people when its open. I definitely don't recommend this rude curbside establishment. It makes me wish there was a no-star option."
"Arrived with a small group around 9:45 to get a late night treat. Sign said "OPEN" which would suggest I could give them money in return for a treat, as is a standard business practice during business hours. But when we got there, we waited in line for a few minutes before the customers - yes the paying customers - informed us the staff did not intend to serve us. Not only did they refuse to accept our payment in return for a treat, but they did not have the guts to say it to our faces, using customers to deliver the news. However, they did manage to upset the entire group. As we left, disappointed at 9:51, the open sign continued to flicker and they proceeded to serve all the guests in front of us. I can't imagine how this was a wise business decision, and it seems u professional seeing as the cashier at McDonald's a few minutes later greeted us with a smile and served us ice cream despite it delaying her shift ending. The staff at Boardwalk saved us some money though, so thanks for that I guess! This was on 8/11/17"
"Disappointed. We let our son and his friend (both 10 years old) get their own ice cream. They felt grown up, and we waited in the car. Since we could see them the whole time we thought it would be fun and safe for them. When they came back from enjoying ttheir ice cream they gave me the change from the the 10$ bill I gave them. Two dollars and five cents change. Two soft serve cones- one vanilla and one chocolate/vanulla swirl. No sprinkles or toppings. Somehow their cones were four dollars each. When we got home I checked and the sign says that a large soft serve cone is 2.75. I'm stunned that my son was taken advantage of in this way. Not cool. I won't make that mistake again."
