"They made a wrong claim and refused to revise the error. I am now being charged $436 a month because of a wrongful claim that they refuse to change. Not only was Maureen Wachtin disrespectful, she refused to help even with the most basic questions— she even hung up when she was supposed to transfer the call over to her supervisor. Don’t trust this insurance company, they are snakes."

"I just received an invitation from AMICA to switch my car insurance over to them. Here is the reason why I will never switch to them; I had AMICA car insurance many many years ago and all of a sudden for absolutely no reason they dropped me leaving me to scramble and find another car insurance. When I asked them why they dropped me ( although I had been driving for about one year at the time I did have a good driving record and no accidents) they said it was their policy to drop people every now and then but never gave a proper explanation. Why would I want to switch to a company that may ‘drop’ me again for no reason."

"Don’t waste your money with them. Amica is not reliable. There is this agent Ms. N.Casella who was assigned to me, she was unprofessional. She never responded to my emails, nor returned my calls even with numerous voicemails, had to speak to someone about how my case was handled by her and she called my back it was with an attitude. I can go on and on with my experience with her."

"My wallet was stolen and I forgot change my card on file when I received the new one. I got a notice that I missed a payment so I logged in and changed my card on file for auto draft. It only paid for the next month and not the month that was missed. A week later I received a letter that my policy was canceled. So I called to see what happened and they said to bad and they would not reinstate the policy so I had no insurance. I was with Amica for over 10 YEARS and have never missed a payment and this how they treated me. I asked customer service if they can do anything because I have been a long term customer and they said go find insurance with someone else. They have ZERO loyalty to their customers! I was late on one payment for a few weeks and they no problem canceling me. I wish I would have left sooner if this is what they think of their clients. Don't waist your money with them!"

"My dad was the registered owner of him and my mom's car (she was a listed driver). My dad passed away recently, very suddenly. My mom went to pay the bill and saw the policy was cancelled. She called and it was because my dad was the registered owner and they wouldn't insure her. No notice or anything. A "you can try a different insurance". After being with Amica for yeaaaars. Contacted Geico and no problem insuring her- she just has to have the car title transferred to her within 30 days, which is already in process at the dmv. If Geico was able to give a 30 day grace period to a new customer, its absolutely disgusting Amica would just cancel the policy and basically say "oh well" to a loyal customer who suddenly lost her husband of 45 years- and now was uninsured while we scrambled to get her insured"
