Reviews of Jett & Sons
"Tried to go here today for lunch and there was a water/sewer delinquent notice on the door and the place was locked up. I believe its closed :("
"Meh. The first time I walked into this place there was only three people eating at one table. I stood for a while at what I assumed was the front desk? There’s a kiosk but I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to order my food and sit down or if someone was going to seat me and take my order. I know someone from the back saw me and didn’t say anything or greet me in anyway. So that make me not want to stay. I decided to maybe play with the kiosk and there’s only donuts, coffee, waffles, and burgers. There’s only three types of burgers to choose from, and I tried seeing what the burgers came with but the kiosk is really confusing and I couldn’t find the toppings. At this point no one has come out and greeted me still. So I turned around and left and went to another restaurant. A friend of mine came through town and BEGGED me to go get waffles from this place. I thought maybe they had a bad day the first time I went and I should try again. I shouldn’t have. I got waffles. And honestly they’re not anything to shake a stick at. I could get the same type of waffle at a cheap hotel. If you want waffles, go to Waffle House. They’re better. And you have someone greet you, seat you, and tell you how to order instead of letting you stand around trying to figure out what to do."
"My wife and I went there recently. just as lunch rush was wrapping up. Best burgers we've ever had !! Highly recommend the food as well as the service. The owner was waiting tables and asked everyones name which was nice. Since we were there after the crowd cleared, he came and talked to us. Great guy with quite a history. I'm looking forward to going there again since I'm hard to get rid of anyway."
"We didn't even stay long enough to get our drinks. We walked in and the owner had his back to us and joked that we snuck up on him and asked if I was going to rob him because I was wearing a mask. We're still in a pandemic and the restaurant is incredibly small so that comment already made me uncomfortable. We stood there awkwardly waiting to either be seated or told to sit where we liked but instead he asked us our names and commented on my name before telling us to sit over in the corner. It was already weird but we sat down anyway. That was when I noticed the 2 dirty bubble fish tanks on the wall basically in the front window that had 2 very possibly dead (or at the very least close to it) Betta fish in them. The menu has only waffles, donuts, burgers and a steak on it so not being able to eat red meat my only option besides the kids menu was a waffle for $7. Burgers were $11. I was at that point annoyed, it would be so easy to just offer a chicken option for the burgers. I had my back to the kitchen area and I heard the waitress say something to the owner quietly and he responded very loudly, "God what's your problem today." She was at least somewhat professional and asked him to "please just don't" And that was when my husband got hit with a nerf dart right in the chest. I looked at him and said "Nope I'm done, I can't I just, I'm done." The owner laughed "Really you're leaving? Oh come on!" And then stood on the corner outfront of the restaurant and stared at us as we drove away. This place could have been kitschy fun but between only being open 4 hours a day on weekdays, the obscene prices, the poorly done tacky decor and the owner's downright childish behavior it deserves to flop."
