"On 11.30.22 Dr. Levy was to perform a procedure on me at 1. I was not to eat after 11 the night before. He showed up after 3, with no apology. He told me I needed to be on a PPI, to which I said I've been tried on multiple PPIs steadily for almost 10 years. I was told your supposed to take the lowest dose for the shortest time. He smirked, shook his head and said "You people and the internet. " I didn't respond, but it was a concerned pharmacist who told me, NOT the internet! He was doing an EGD w biopsy and possibly stretching my esophagus, which my ENT & Gastroenterologist both said would be of no help, because I don't have a stricture. He did it anyway. I can no longer blow my nose. The tissue is barely damp. All of my mucus/phlegm, etc goes down, I assume to my stomach, maybe lungs? But j have to hawk up all of my snot. It is DISGUSTING! I try to never cry, because I don't want to gsg/choke/vomit up slime and chunks that should blow out of my nose - the taste is awful! In recovery I could feel all 4 spots he cut for biopsy. I asked if I could please have Tylenol. I was told he doesn't give pain meds for EGD. OK, I can feel 4 places he cut, stretching means he tore all the muscles, I'm not asking for more than otc Tylenol. Sorry, no. The hospital pharmacy ran a few chloraseptic lozenges up as I was in wheelchair to leave. His attitude was pompous. He had zero bedside manner. He made a snarky comment due to an assumption. They won't work on my pectus carinatum because I'm too old. It's typically a malformation teens get, mine popped out in my late 40s. If I could give NEGATIVE stars, j would! Do yourself a favor and travel elsewhere. I know he's in the Pittsburgh area and I went to the office in Erie, PA, at the cancer center, procedure at UPMC Hamot."
