The staff is consistently approachable, friendly and warm and they have made dental visits for myself, my husband, and even our three-year-old a really positive experience in their bright, intimate office space. "The location is great but I had a bad experience here. The dentist I saw was very rough and it was overall an uncomfortable experience. I had trouble doing the X-rays and when I told her what would help she ignored me and kept trying her way including using a topical agent on my tongue which was unpleasant and unnecessary. She also kept coughing and said she had a post nasal drip which was adding to my discomfort. I was cringing in the chair as she roughly used an older looking tool, and it was a lot of blood, more than I usually get going to the dentist. I didn’t see Dr. rice, it was another dentist. She wasn’t very friendly and lacked empathy. The icing on the cake was that they did this gross fluoride treatment and said it was part of the checkup. Come to find out, that unnecessary treatment cost me $60! After I was charged they said most dental plans don’t cover that…well wouldn’t that be a good thing to mention to your patient in advance? In the paperwork they also requested a credit card on file which felt inappropriate for a dentist. Our family will not be going back."

"I had to find a new dentist and Rice Dental was one of the few nearby. It was such a great experience, or as great as a dental cleaning can be. The office was super cozy and very clean. I can’t remember her name but the woman who actually cleaned my teeth was so down to earth and knowledgeable (as a dentist should be but regardless). She was the most thorough dentist that I’ve been to. And they even had a camera “wand” to take pictures of some minor issues which she then showed me on the computer screen. That was surprisingly helpful. I feel confident in my oral health now and I’m looking forward to my next visit in a few months. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!"

"Dr. Rice is the only dentist I would recommend in Bernardsville! She is so nice and helpful! She has removed and replaced multiple fillings that were cracked and filled new cavities. She helped me change my dental habits so now I am cavity free and my smile is brighter!"
