If you are like me and you’re considering therapy but are a little tentative about starting. I say go for it, especially it you are a person of color. Mental health is often stigmatized in our community and that shouldn’t be the case. The professionals at Mc Phersoon make laying down your burdens just a little bit easier."

"I was super excited to start working with a therapist within this practice, but unfortunately my story starts and ends with scheduling. While trying to connect to the phone through my headphones I accidentally missed my consultation. I called back immediately, three times, and left a voicemail explaining the connection issue. No one ever answered, and I never received a call back. I got an email from the administrative assistant who initially scheduled me, 3 days after this all happened. He informed me that because I “missed your previous consultations, we are now fully booked and no longer accepting new clients”. This just felt wrong to me on so many levels, and if this is how new patients are treated, particularly in this field, then clearly I need to seek out services elsewhere. Many offices have answering machines and you leave a message and no one calls back, even after you attempt to call them again. I'm so happy to have connected my daughter with this office.
